This is the group discussion for our August book Nancy Wake by Peter FitzSimons. Please be sure to mark spoilers.

Silver | 8 comments I had some long drives so I got this in audio format to listen to on the road. It was quite an enjoyable read. Nancy was truly a fascinating and amazing person. I was glad to learn about her having never heard of her before. I loved her antics and highly admired her courage.

Maureen (maursbooks) | 560 comments I know I am late to the party. I just started this book today.

Liza | 68 comments Bummed that my library didn’t have any versions of this. Will have to see if I can get it some other way.

Margaret Crampton (cramptonmargaret) | 8155 comments Currently reading this book. I thought it was non fiction?

It is available via Kindle Unlimited; that might be an option for you?

Sorry you are having so much trouble with this book. Does your library have Libby or Hoopla where you can borrow e books?
Can your library get you a copy from another library?

Liza | 68 comments @Diane & @Maureen - seems like none of the libraries in the county have this in any format. They did have the book for September, just not this one. So I’ll probably end up buying on kindle

Margaret Crampton (cramptonmargaret) | 8155 comments I really e joyed this book and found Nancy Wake to be a fascinating person She had an impoverished childhood. She as abandoned by the Father she loved and hated er highly Critical Mother. As a journalist she travelled widely and achieved miracles in France working in the French Resistance against the Nazis. Herachievements were widely recognized internationally nd she was showered with medals and awards for her inspired leadership role. Highly recommended .

Maureen (maursbooks) | 560 comments I just finished this book. Nancy Wake was a very interesting person. She was a very brave young woman.
This book was enjoyable to read as it was written like fiction. Before reading this book, I had not known about Nancy Wake

Barbara Grant | 6 comments Loved this book! Such a fascinating life she led! I also learned so much about the Vichy government and the amazing power of the French Resistance!
