Hi, everyone! This is the thread for the "Commit to one book monthly" challenge. In this thread, post one book you intend to read in May, so everyone else can see your pick. When you finish reading it, we'd love for you to come back and post your opinion. I expect everyone's TBRs to suffer because of this monthly reading challenge, but I'm prepared to make that sacrifice. Are you? :-D

Bonnie | 673 comments I'll go with The Housemaid The Housemaid (The Housemaid, #1) by Freida McFadden since it's my bookclub's pick.

I'll go with Disco for the Departed Disco for the Departed (Dr. Siri Paiboun, #3) by Colin Cotterill by Colin Cotterill, the next Dr. Siri Paiboun mystery on my list.

I'll have to amend this as I've changed one of my challenges.. I think I'll go with The House at the End of Lacelean Street The House at the End of Lacelean Street by Catherine McCarthy by Catherine McCarthy

Finished 4.0 stars

Finished and really liked it. A psychological thriller.

I finished 1940 FDR, Willkie, Lindbergh, Hitler—the Election amid the Storm by Susan Dunn and really liked it. It could have been very dry or too gossipy: instead it hit a nice note between analysis, action and character revelation as well as historical context. I'm glad I picked it: it's about to expire on Audible Plus so I likely wouldn't have read it if I hadn't "read" it now.

Pam (bluegrasspam) | 228 comments I thought We Solve Murders was really good! It’s a fun read with lots of action and travel. I enjoyed it even more than the Thursday Murder Club books. Although, I do plan to read the 3rd & 4th books in that series.
