On occasion, if I think most of us who are going to will have completed reading the works that have been the group reads for the month, I might suggest a buddy read pulled from the Gutenberg website? The nice thing about these reads are...
1) they're free--Gutenberg never charges, 2) a copy is always readily available, 3) they're classics of a sort--Gutenberg would not host them otherwise, and 4) no typos.
These buddy reads will usually be short-notice, and short-timed. They're just something to while a few days away with while we await the group reads for the next month to commence.
Feel free to propose one for the next buddy read if you wish. They don't even have to be Gutenberg, just widely and cheaply accessible. Free is best! The next time we have what seems to be a down-time and a weekend, I'll fire one up!
