Reader | 1 comments There was a novel from the late 90s or 2000's that was set on the Upper East Side of New York about a high school white girl who attended private school whose father was fired from his (I think) publishing job. He had to take a job at a book store. Their money dwindled and the girl became homeless and moved uptown to live with a black girl. There were scenes where she had an affair with one of the female characters. She winds up seeking revenge against her father's former boss. It had shades of TAXI DRIVER bleak New York revenge. Can anyone tell me the title or author?

Maryam | 6 comments Hi, I’m trying to find a book I read, the book is about a daughter , after her father dies, she finds out from her fathers lover that her father was having an affair, his lover gives his daughter a box filled with pages where she wrote about her life, their affair, her brother’s arrest/ ban from working on tv because of his personal life , tv had just became popular, her father met his lover at a park in New York I think , with his wife n kid/s, they remembered each other from her brothers party that he gate crashed years earlier, the day before he left to train in the army, her marriage and controlling mother in law, her miscarriage and then her divorce.

´³Âì¶ÙÂì (HP marathon) | 608 comments I don't know what that is.

I'm trying to find a book where this teenager's girlfriend, Margaret, breaks up with him after booking their train trip, so he puts out an ad for another Margaret to take her place. His parents and siblings don't agree at first, but they relent. I remember the other Margaret calls herself Bea or something ...?

Hello Reader. I found a book that has a few similarities to your description (such as being released in 2002, but taking place in Manhattan in the 1990's and so on). It's called Twelve by Nick McDonnell ()

Is it possible that this is the book you're looking for (or at the very least) quite close to it?

Amanda Frekot | 34 comments heh heh wag chat, i cant remember the title of a book I read a few years ago. i believe that it is told from two perspectives, one male and one female. the girl (I cant remember her name) plays baseball and rly likes it but at some point in the book she switches to softball and finds it to be a very supportive community. the other mc, the boy, is her bestie since they were little. i think they live in the same apartment building or smth. they live somewhere that is very cold. on the cover they are sitting in a pipe thing that they hang out in sometimes. (spoiler) in the end of the book, they are kinda getting distant and when the boy is reaching for her on the bus his hands kinda goes on her ochichis by accident and shes like GO AWAY and then they stop being friends. book is mg/ya. tyty!

Sarah Osorio | 1 comments Hey I'm trying to find a book

It's a YA reverse harem fantasy book set in modern times where the main character was the fae princess who was kidnapped and raised by her hateful adoptive family that wanted her to be a virgin so they could give her to the kidnapper to marry. She has 4 mates who she met at a coffee shop that she worked at and lived above. She got fired and they helped her move into they're house. I'm also like 90% sure she completely dominates them at Mario cart in the book too
