Hi Everyone <3 My name is Shannon out of Colorado! I read Contemporary Romance and Fantasy Romance. Reading became a big part of my life a few years ago, and now I'm obsessed!
Hiiiii!!!! I´m Lily Right now I´m reading We Were Lairs!!

Heyyyyyy!!!! I´m Lily💕 I loooovvveee romance books and mystery/thriller. I love reading, baking, hanging out with friends, shopping, watching movies (rn im watching 10 Things I Hate About You! Love that movie!!)

Hi Gwendolyn, I love painting too, though I can’t even remember the last time I picked up a brush. It’s so cool that you play hockey, and I spend my time exploring forests. 👋

My hobby used to be reading, reading, reading. I averaged something like a book a day for about eight years.
Then I discovered people! I have made some outstanding friends and reading them has put a significant dent in my total. Reading people is FASCINATING.
They do have these things called jobs, which I got to retire early from because of my cerebral palsy. Life is not either/or, so when the texts are not dinging during much of the day and I am not writing on or reading the Bible and books based around it, I am looking to entice myself back to a more casual reading pace.
I was trying to remember the title of a fantasy novel I read that was set in the future. The Bible had been lost and was rediscovered. Even AI couldn't come up with it. Anybody know it?

This book you are looking for... did it discuss the bible in a favorable or negative way?

Thank you for the invitation, the welcome, and for reaching out in the first place.
Are you always an early riser? I tend to be.
I’d rather say that by now it’s hard to define when I actually sleep... mostly whenever I get the chance. I’m usually "working" day and night
Yesterday, I went to bed around 2 AM because I was working on the website and some illustrations. But the next morning, a new day starts again
I’ve gotten used to it by now...

I also love books that both kids and adults can read. The Moomins and the Great Flood or Ella Enchanted for example :)
My hobby is writing and more recently translating of my writings into English. I write fantasy and fairy tales.
Hi everyone, I’m Walter! 📚
My favorite book series has to be The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan—I’m currently reading The Shadow Rising and loving it.
🌟 As for hobbies, I’m all about cycling, walking, and just being myself (with a healthy dose of humor, of course).
Looking forward to connecting with fellow bookworms here!

Hi Walter! I've enjoyed the Wheel of Time too, but boy, it took me 7 months from start to finish :D
Hi Morwen,
Wow, seven months—that’s impressive! For me, I’m taking a different approach. I’m aiming for about two books a year because I really enjoy the series and don’t want it to end too quickly. I want to savor the journey!

ah quickly it won't end for sure! :D But it's so complex, in the true style of "olde fantasy", that even reading them all back to back I had to keep a browser tab open on a WOT Wiki (so many names, so many SIMILAR names!!), so I don't think I could have made it if I popped just in and out of it part-time :) But again I'm all for full immersions!
Yours is an approach I wouldn't even have thought of, so if you ever made a post about how it is to dive into such a world with your method, I'd be curious to read it :)

Ah, you’re right—it definitely won’t end quickly! 😄 And I completely get what you mean about the complexity. So many names, and half of them sound like they could be siblings! It’s like Robert Jordan decided to challenge us all to a memory game.
Your back-to-back reading style sounds intense (and impressive)! I can see how full immersion would work for such a rich and detailed world. My approach is definitely slower, but it lets me savor each moment without feeling overwhelmed.
To keep track, I use a map while reading: Wheel of Time map (). It’s been a lifesaver! Plus, there’s an app called The Wheel of Time Compendium where I can mark which book I’m on and look up characters without risking spoilers—it’s like having a spoiler-free cheat sheet.
Oh, and after each chapter, I discuss it with ChatGPT. It’s like having my own virtual reading buddy! Sure, it takes more time, but honestly, I’m having so much fun that I don’t mind.
I wouldn’t mind making a post about this method if you’re curious!

That's interesting! Also the chat gpt part! I used maps and online resources, but I do not have your kind o patience for sure! Your approach is very cool, even if I'd probably go mad if I tried it.
Hi Kristina, welcome to the group! Hi Walter! It was so great reading your lines, and if you're interested, I'd be happy to create a topic about reading habits. I think it would be really interesting... Morwen, I haven't said this yet, but it's awesome having you here! I love reading your posts, though I usually don't have time to reply. But even just in these few days, I've already come across some really thought-provoking lines! Shannon, if there was a like button, I'd definitely like your comments a lot! Brian, hope you're doing well! :D Have a great day, everyone! 💫
Thanks Sophie! I agree it's really weird not being able to put likes on some of the great replies I see! :) :)

🌟 Favorites Books would be Joe Abercrombie First law novels.

Thanks for inviting me
My name is Maria Grazia and I live in Italy.
Hard question, probably few of my favourite of all time are the Harry Potter series, The Hobbit & The Lord of The Rings and last but not least Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.
I love discovering new fantasy each year
I adore music, movies and Tv series.
Hi Dale, that's amazing. So cool! I'm glad you're here! Hi Maria, I'm glad you're here too! I love The Hobbit as well—there's just something about the beginning that sticks in your mind... And when I have some time, I enjoy laughing along with Gilmore Girls!

Sono certa che sarà un valido spunto per scoprire nuove storie!
Thanks :)
I'm glad to be here. I think I'll be an amazing way to discover new stories diverse from the most popolar ones
Reading something that is not common, is similiar to find an hidden treasure

I did the audible of Fairytale by Stephen King lately and enjoyed it.
Looking forward to the fifth book of the Brandon Sanderson's Stromlight Archive.

I dont know what my favorite fantasy story is, but it might be Watership Down.
I am 56, and have had many hobbies over the years. Currently, I am putting a ton of energy into the series that I've been writing for many years, the White Sword Saga, and occassionally playing guitar.
I am not a fast reader, and dont tend to read for the same reasons others do (for me, it is kind of like homework), but I do read a lot, and probably some of those things overlap some of what you have read.
Happy to meet everyone, and hope we get to know each other better.

My favorite fantasy books are: Lord of the Rings (and anything about Middle Earth), and the Wizard of Earthsea. I am also a huge fan of fiction and magical realism.
Other hobbies (besides reading) include: drawing, writing, and playing music/songwriting/composition. Happy to be here!

Thanks! It's such a fun city
