December BOTM#2- MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS Genre: Mystery, Fiction, Crime
Murder on the Orient Express is a work of detective fiction by English writer Agatha Christie featuring the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. The elegant train of the 1930s, the Orient Express, is stopped by heavy snowfall. A murder is discovered, and Poirot's trip home to London from the Middle East is interrupted to solve the case.
Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the famous Orient Express in its tracks as it travels through the mountainous Balkans. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year but, by the morning, it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer on board, Poirot must identify the murderer—in case he or she decides to strike again.
What to do once you've read the book!! ⋆ Tell us what you thought of it / Link or share your reviews (pls mention if there are spoilers) ⋆ Watch the movie! ⋆ Explore other Hercule Poirot adventures (i'd recommend Murder of Roger Ackroyd, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, The ABC murders, Evil Under the Sun, Death on the Nile and Curtain, but all of them are great!!)🔑
