I absolutely loved reading this book! It flows beautifully, is eloquently written, and I adored the vibe—typewriters, letters, everything! It felt truly magical to me. This book is perfect for relaxing, as it's engaging yet easy to understand. Who doesn't like some romantasy?

This is one of my favorite recent reads! I just loved how it was written and the flow of the story. I LOVE this book!

I'm about to get this from the library tomorrow. Excited to read it!

I didn’t think I’d enjoy this book as much as I did. I think it did a great job showing the harsh realities of war. A dumb moment for me, but I had to finally accept that there were actual monsters 3/4s into the book. I genuinely thought they were just the author’s way of showcasing war in general and that the typewriters and music were the only magical things in the book. This was my first read through, so I’m interested in how much mythology plays in the second book.

I really like it so far. I just finished the first part. I cried in public lol.

Let me tell you the truth: Getting past the 20% mark of this book was a headache. I just couldn't bring myself to continue so I put the book away and DNF'd it.

Then, around a week later, I decided to pick it up again.

Boy, am I glad I did.

After Iris went on to the war front, the book just kept getting better and better, not to mention the whole plot about the typewriters(I loved it)
Also, the moment Roman came to visit Iris I audibly gasped; that's right, I put the book down and looked around the room with my mouth gaping open.
AND WHEN IRIS FINALLY CHECKED THE LETTER UNDER THE WARDROBE

The book would've ended real quick had she read Roman's letter when it was sent XD

P.S. Just wanted to mention that I love the little detail of the letters on the cover being in typewriter form ))

Anyway, I am definitely planning on reading the next book Ruthless Vows because that ending... wow

I am so glad you gave it another chance because it really does amp up!

Im like 2/3 through (start of part 3) and omg i already love this so much

I just finished part two tonight. I LOVE their dynamic, and I have a new favorite trope (I think secret identity is a trope?) plus my love for rivals-to-lovers is strengthened lol. I think their relationship is cute, and it's endearing how she's still trying to type to Roman and he's just their thinking "well this is awkward." LOL
