For those of you who have done a read-a-thon for the this group in the past, this should look familiar. If you're new to this, allow us to explain!

What do I have to do to participate?
If you are interested in participating and can commit to actively engaging in the read-a-thon, then please sign up in the comments below. We have chosen the categories so this group activity is fair and fun for readers of all speeds.

Please only sign up if you can commit to checking in with your team (on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ) at least 5 times during the December 7-15 schedule.

How many teams will there be?
It will greatly depend on how many people sign up and how much they think they will be able to read. We are targeting 8-10 people per group.

QUESTIONNAIRE (This helps us sort teams!)
1. What is your availability this week, and how many books do you anticipate reading during the Read-a-Thon?
2. Which time zone do you live in?
3. Can you commit to checking in with your team frequently during the read-a-thon?
4. Are you interested in being a team leader for your group? (i.e. keeping track of team totals, needed tasks, updating spreadsheet, etc. -- We aim to have two captains per team so you can share the responsibility.)

I know this is a bit last minute, so I will be assigning teams as people submit responses here (within a couple hours, anyway). Please check back frequently!

Tanu (tanu_reads) | 138 comments Oh man, didn't get much read but I loved this event last year.

I am available Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th AEST inclusive, possibly this Sunday 8th Dec, and all days the following week except Tuesday the 17th AEST. I anticipate reading anywhere from 1-3 books during this time, depending on length. (By the way, the time period says September).

I can check in frequently but no, sorry, can't commit to being a team leader.

message 29: by C (new)

C | 21 comments My first time doing one of these. If I'm assigned and I haven't posted to the thread in a timely manner, someone please PM me since I may not even realize where the thread is. But I'm good at setting GR notifications. ;)

1. I'm available, and usually get at least 3 books per week. I don't see anything in my schedule that would prevent that. But I am targeting specific books for personal reasons or other challenges, so what I read may not fit these tasks? I'll try, but it could be fewer than three books.
2. US Pacific
3. I can check in frequently, probably at least once a day. Just need to get my notifications that there's thread activity.
4. Please no, it's my first time so I think it's best if I just read lol.
