🎯 Take aim at these targets and see how many you can hit by the end of the year.

GOAL: Choose 1 or more of the reading targets, take aim and read a minimum of 25 books in 2025. Break your year down by month, choose your target(s) and list them as you read to reach your goal(s). You can choose a different target for each month, keep the same for the whole year or mix & match as you wish.

DURATION: 1 year from start date

READING TARGETS
The 3 options listed under each target are available for use; choose one, two or all three to help you reach your goal; use of all three is not required

🎯 Quantity-Based:
1. Read 25 fantasy-related books (UF, PNR, Sci-fi, Romantasy, etc)
2. Read 1 book a month by a new-to-you author
3. Read 20+ pages per day

🎯 Quality-Based:
1. Read 25 books with avg 4+ stars on ŷ
2. Read 1 book a month from any book award list (nominees allowed)
3. Read 2 books from Time's '100 Best Fantasy Books of All Time' list ()

🎯 Genre-Focused:
1. Read 25 books in one specific fantasy sub-genre
2. Read 1 fantasy-related book a month
3. Read 1 book by an author or featuring a character who is a person of color, LGBTQ+, or has a disability

🎯 Author-Focused:
1. Read 25 books by three different new-to-you authors
2. Read 1 book a month by 1 author (ie: 12 books by 1 author - perfect for those following along with us as we re/read Banet's 'Jacky Leon' series)
3. Read A-Z authors (first or last name qualifies)

🎯 Challenge-Based:
1. Read 25 books being used for 1 or more other challenges (challenges outside of SOS allowed; all SOS challenges listed here)
2. Read 1 book a month fitting the theme of one of that month's holidays (national or fun allowed; ie: Halloween or Cinnamon Roll Day)
3. Read 1 book a month you didn't purchase (ie: library or KU loaner, gift, Amz or other seller freebie, etc)

Eldarwen | 2197 comments Well, finding this late but I like the concept so let me see what I've already managed for this in 2025 :-) Because I'd rather do this in 2025 instead of far into 2026 and there's still plenty of time to catch up!

Mix & Match as I usually do.
