Prologue - Chapter 12
(view spoiler)[ I am actually liking this book. I'm not finding it as easy as some of her earlier work - Love Hypothesis and Love on the Brain but it's still grabbing my attention. OMG Adam and Olive have turned up as well so that was unexpected. Vandy/Scarlett is a likeable character. I'm excited to see the story progress and the smut level with BDSM we will get. Chapter 13 - End
(view spoiler)[It was a really good read but it felt a little like it was tied up in a neat bow right at the end. I love Ali Hazelwood, this is not her best book but I have still given it 5 stars. Penn is my least favourite character, felt like I saw it coming right at the end. Overall, worth the read. (hide spoiler)]

FINALLY THEY’VE kissed and done much more, but why the sudden distance and lack of follow-up from Lukas after their first time? I guess to keep them from catching feelings? I’m sure there’s something more going on there. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ omg I love Pen. This is so funny. I'm worried about how this will go and how she will react when Lukas and Scarlett fall in love but thus far I'm enjoying the ride. Of course he's the other student in this lab, of course. Now she really can't ignore the chemistry.

(view spoiler)[ I was going to say damn I wasn't expecting this to happen so fast, but then they got interrupted. And because of that I was eagerly anticipating when it did happen. Lukas is very observant and persistent. This is going to be good for her. She needs to talk about and process her trauma and it seems like he will be able to help with that.

(view spoiler)[ okay his brother is awesome. All this self imposed denial is wild. I sort of get it but not to this extreme. I'm glad Scarlett took him to task for it. Pen and Scarlett's synchro troubles are entertaining, but I'm guessing they will work it out and somehow be Olympic level in time. I'm glad Pen has someone too, her hot for teacher is hilarious.

(view spoiler)[ holy shit she won, I was not expecting that. I'm so happy she was able to find the joy of diving again. No wonder she injured herself when she did, to have all of that happen is horrible and she needed to get it out and process it. Everything is good now but there's too much left of this book for that to be it. I'm really nervous for when the other shoe drops with Pen.

(view spoiler)[ omg that was so much worse than I imagined. I'm glad in a way that Pen had all of that stress beforehand to explain this. It sucked but it's understandable why she's reacting the way she is. It's a dick move but she's not a villain, she's just hurting. But oof that hurt.

(view spoiler)[ I loved this. Ali Hazelwood is hit and miss for me but this was a hit. I loved these two nerds so much and the friendship between Pen and Scarlett. I wanted a little more time of them actually together before the epilogue but other than that I had a great time.
