I just went to purchase this on Audible and found out it was free with my membership. What a great start!

I’m looking forward to reading something lighthearted with everything that’s going on in the world.

This is a very fun, lighthearted book, Lana!

Yep, I think a lot of Drew Hayes books are on Audible Plus, so it's nice)

Well I started it b/c you said it was free on audible. As it turns out there are two free versions- regular narration and a graphic audio full cast version. Not sure which is better

Graphic audio.

My library had both, too, and I went with the regular version in case I found the "graphic audio" version distracting. So far I like the narrator's voice for really fitting the vibe of the character.

Anyone else surprised to find out this is a series of short stories rather than a continuous novel?

I don't think I was surprised. Then, I'm used to fix-ups, from back in the day when they were, in fact, fixed up.

I wasn't planning on reading this one, but I thought I'd give it a try since it is free on Audible. I'm enjoying it so far - pretty light, but that fits in with what I am currently choosing to read right now. I went for the single narrator because I generally don't like graphic audio, and I am not disappointed with that decision.

Fred is an unimpressive protagonist as the book opens, very self-deprecating

I'm finding this perfect for reading at work because I don't have to concentrate too hard and having to stop every ten minutes doesn't make me lose the plot.

I was unsure about reading a vampire story after having read horror books such as Carmilla: A Vampyre Tale and Dracula. But this Fred the Vampire book is fun and easy. Just what is needed now. Whew.
