I swr I felt the same way too and it took me a long time to pick it up but trust me and push through cuz you'll enjoy it

Just keep pushing through and you wont regret it. I just finished the series. It was incredible. They array of emotions I felt throughout reading it. My family even laughed at me at one point because I was crying. I was like you don't get it this is intense. The first book is rough, but it will be worth it when you get to the second.

I really like ACOTAR too, but personally I enjoy TOG more and I am on the fourth book. It was hard to start in the begging, but those were her first series (SJM). Everything she writes is so packed with emotions and I am a person who judges a book by the way it makes me feel and Acotar was great for me. Action packed with romance and good plot.
