Use this page to comment on and discuss Lore by Alexandra Bracken! If you are including spoilers either make it clear by writing ***SPOILERS before your post as to not ruin it for those who might not be done yet. Remember to be respectful!!!!

Evan Carey | 55 comments I had never really read to much Greek mythology type stuff before, but this was a really good book! It was kinda long, and I have been in kinda a reading slump recently, so it took me a little while longer to read it then I would have liked. But once I got halfway through, I finished the second half of the book in a day! ***SPOILERS I loved Castor from the start of the book. And had my suspicions that Wrath was evil sure, but that Athena was the truly evil. I loved how Miles was mortal but he wanted in on all the fighting and stuff. I also liked how Van was super against Miles meeting Van's contact but then Miles got more info out of Van's contact then Van would have gotten out of him. And although I disagree with all the LGBTQ stuff in the world, I am glad Van and Miles had a happy ending. And I still can't believe that even though Lore really wanted nothing to do with the gods anymore, she took literally all the power Athena had.

Ayuana Jackson | 43 comments I’ve always liked mythology and this book took a new twist. To compare it to any other book would be a shame. It was kind of confusing at first but the more I read the more I understood. Also, let’s take a second to recognize THOSE TWISTS. I haven’t read a book that has kept me on my toes this much in quite awhile. This book was a 5/5 read for me. Also I think Castor needs to be added to everyone’s book boyfriend list because everyone needs a purely unselfish and good man in their lives.

I did like Castor! I found this book hard to get into though. The first half of the book was kind of brutal for me, but the second half was really good! The twists were super fun and exciting!

i agree with you so much about castor!

Alyssa (lyssiepop1) | 16 comments First half of the book was a bit tough to get through as I found Lore difficult to connect with without having more of her backstory behind her gruff, Angsty ways. Once I got to the second half of the book, though, it was like a race to the end. The twists were absolutely fantastic.

Same! I wonder how many people have it on their DNF shelf due to the first half being so slow. It's a shame since the second half was so good.
