My first book of a (at least) 10 book series, deals with the United States west and east coasts seceded, civil war brewing then China invades followed by other foreign nations taking advantage of a weakened America. Bret Gordon, civilian is has accumulated a certain set of skills over his 52 years on Earth vows to rescue his wife. During the secession and invasion, his wife Jen, a travel nurse is stuck in California. He packs his go bag, his two blue heelers and leaves Tennessee behind. oh and he has early onset parkinson's (mild thus far).

Much more to it but that's the jist.
I have a friend who served in the 101st Airborne helping me out with military items, topics I don't know about but my editor suggested I get some Beta readers with military experience. Preferrably Infantry, Ranger, Airborne, SF, SEALs, Para Rescue, Marine Recon, Raiders would be a huge bonus. Basically looking for combat arms experience.

Willing to pay as long as it's sensible. Book one is roughly 82000 words, short chapters, military fiction, dystopian.

Book two polishing for the editor and have up to book five written with the 6th started. There's plenty work ;)

My books are about the best and worst of people and showing/feeling it.

It's a war so there's language, death, gore, violence, anything you can think that may happen in a warzone, one of my books has it or it brushes up against it.

With that said I did tone down the language a bit from the beginnings of the book. If you've spent time around soldiers especially combat arms, they love the F word. But it was too much so as I said, toned down.

I've picked two Beta readers already and I may pick three more. I'll notify you soon.

This book (series) is a what if scenario ;) This may be military/dystopian fiction but it's not just about Alpha males running around with guns shooting people, there are strong female characters too, and I tried to make feelings, fear, anxiety etc feel real.

That's where y'all come in to help.

I served with members from the Army and Marines as well because I was a parachute rigger in a RAG squadron training F-14 pilots for all branches not just Navy.
