Very much. I couldn't' put it down. I found it very moving.

What did you read this week? The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay

Did you enjoy the book? Yes, I surprised myself by really enjoying it. I read it in two mammoth sittings.

Do you think the book deserved an award? I don't know, as I don't know what it was up against, but for me, I really liked it so, sure, why not?

Are your interested in reading another Pulitzer winner? Not in that I would purposely go looking for books that won the prize, but if they sounded interesting I would read them.

What did you read this week? To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Did you enjoy the book? I enjoyed it a great deal. I have no doubts as to why it is considered one of the greatest American novels ever written.

Do you think the book deserved an award? Absolutely. It's a very moving story with a lot of symbolism.

Are your interested in reading another Pulitzer winner? I struggled to find a book to read from the selection of Pulitzer winners so I doubt I would actively seek to read one just because it was a winning selection. I found from other member's reviews and discussions that All the Light We Cannot See and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay seemed like books I'd enjoy. Funnily enough, those are the two books posted above my post!

The Snow Child (fairytale background) and The Road (this one is a post-apocalyptic re-read)

Did you enjoy the book?
Yes, great atmosphere for both of them, one was covered with snow, the other with ashes :D
However, the writing in The Road is awkward so it's not the more pleasant thing in the book.

Do you think the book deserved an award?
Yes (but The Road deserved to be edited before the publication. I don't know how they missed this).

Are your interested in reading another Pulitzer winner?
Not particularly a Pullitzer, but I like reading award winners :)

Did you enjoy the book?

Yes, it was well written, but slow at times.

Yes, I try to keep up with award winners and I am working on reading backlist Pulitzers.

Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller

Did you enjoy the book?
I would rather say I suffered with the book, not because is bad, but because the whole story is so depressing... but I guess suffer with a depressing story is kind of "enjoy" the story :D

Do you think the book deserved an award?
Yes, I have read some plays and never read one with so many details. The author played with different times and places at the same time, that's not so easy in theater. but he gives details on how to show them ... is like a play written by a movie director.

Are your interested in reading another Pulitzer winner? I don't have much experiences with pulitzer winners, I have just read this play and "To kill a Mockingbird" last year, and both have been really good... so, yes, definitely!

Yes! It's one of the most beautiful stories I've every read.

Definetelly, but I can't understand why. It's a book about a fisherman...well...fishing! It's surprising how it can caught your attention, and how beautiful it can be.

Are your interested in reading another Pulitzer winner?
Yes, I wanted to read "To kill a Monkingbird" for that week, but I ended up reading "The old man and the sea", which I don't regret!

--Beloved by Toni Morrison, but I'm not done with it yet.

Did you enjoy the book?
--Well, a little, but it's not the type of book that I find myself wanting to read any chance I get.

Do you think the book deserved an award?
--It's definitely interesting and covers a serious topic, so I would say yeah.

Are your interested in reading another Pulitzer winner?
--Yes, but I have to pad my reading of it with easy and fun reads.

I'm pretty sure that the writing style in The Road was intentional, not a result of poor editing. (I'm not saying this because I liked it - I actually really disliked The Road - but just because I think that's the way he chose to write it.)

Did you enjoy the book? Yes, the descriptions were amazing.

Do you think the book deserved an award? Absolutely.

Are your interested in reading another Pulitzer winner? Possibly. After looking at the list the play I read was a winner and I liked it.

Did you enjoy the book? Not as much as I'd hoped I would but I did like it.

Do you think the book deserved an award? Yes! Although the whole book wasn't quite my thing and I struggled with it, I completely understand why it's considered a classic and I think the themes explored in the book are very important ones.

Are your interested in reading another Pulitzer winner? I've already read two for this challenge and I liked this one and loved the other one so I'd certainly read more of them.

Maybe, if they are like this one, or at least as good as this one. I liked the writing style.

Did you enjoy the book? I absolutely loved it. All of the stars for this book.

Do you think the book deserved an award? 100%, yes. It is brilliant!

Are your interested in reading another Pulitzer winner? Definitely. I actually read three more this year (not intentionally), The Color Purple which I adored beyond words, The Age of Innocence which I really liked, and The Road which I absolutely despised. I've put together a little annual challenge for myself though, and reading a Pulitzer Prize winning book is one of the challenges. I definitely think they're worth reading.
