I chose this book because apparently I added it to my "to read" list here in 2008, a full 6 years before I added anything else. Weird. I think I tried to read it once but didn't get into it, so hopefully it'll go better this time around.

I've said this quite a few times in the group already, but I'll say it again. I love this book, but it can be hard. Try reading chapter 22 first so that you'll understand the characters more instead of being confused for the first 21 chapters that you read. That's how others have coped. But, however you'll end up reading this, I hope you'll enjoy it. Good luck!

Halfway done and enjoying it more than I thought I would :)

This is one of my all-time favorite books, but I agree with others that it isn't an easy read! I know a lot of people have it on their "worst book ever" lists. I hope you'll enjoy it!

There was a kind of cult following for this book with college kids during the Vietnam war. I liked it but my husband hated the part where Yossarian censored the mail, knowing how much mail from home meant to him when he was drafted.

I finished it! I don't know why but I really struggled with the first half, but this time I powered through and I'm glad I did! It's like something clicked about halfway through and it started to be really funny. In the end I gave it 4 stars. I'll have to read it again in the future and see if I can get more enjoyment from the first half.
