These are all books for the Around the World in 80 Books challenge. They're not necessarily LGBT books since this challenge doesn't require the books to be LGBT.

It would be quite interesting if an individual tried to have a certain percentage of their books have lgbt themes or authors...it'd probably be easy enough with the North American and European countries as most of us probably already know LGBT books set in those areas.

I think a list of international queer books would be great!

I just read Kiss of the Spider Woman, that's Argentinian. Nalo Hopkinson is good for queer stories set in the Caribean. William S Burroughs' Queer takes place in Mexico city...

Ralph, I like this better than the other challenges because you can pick what kind of book you want. Fiction or non-fiction or whatever. It is so hard to get me to read non-fiction. I might try this one to see how I do.. AND I have a year.
