Thanks for joining Missy! Double the trouble, double the fun! :-) now there's two Tess Gerritsen Fans! Hopefully more fans will join soon. Feel free to add comments or discussion topics :-)
Hi Dustin. Thanks for starting the Gerritsen group. I love her books! I live in Franklin, Tn just south of Nashville and work at a medium sized public library. That makes it easy to get the books when they first come out!
I've worked at a bookstore before. I think working at a library would be better - easier on the pocket book, wallet, or budget - whatever you wanna call it. When I worked in a bookstore a good chunk of my paycheck went to books - it was too tempting! At the library you could check out all the new titles without having to purchase them. At the bookstore, we were allowed to take titles home but I was always afraid of damaging them and having to pay for them.
I might as well work at the Library - it seems I'm involved there enough. I just moved in November and our library is walking distance from our house. I love it! I've bought a few books at the on-going Friends of the Library book sale already. I've suggested titles for purchase & they've bought them already! Our library (Lafayette Public Library) in Colorado, also has a social network - nothing so grand as Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ but it's nice :-) I earned a free book just by commenting in December.
Sometime in the near future I think I might start re-reading the Razzoli/Isles Series or perhaps I'll try reading one of the stand-alone novels. We'll see :-)

Welcome Yvonne! Four members now! I'm hoping by the time Ice Cold is released this summer, we will have a nice group of fans so we can have fun discussing the new book :-) I'm going to start re-reading the Razzoli/Isles series soon - starting with The Surgeon - I've ordered the audiobook on CD from the library already :-) I like to get an audiobook and a printed copy whenever possible.

I like those characters; feel like I'm getting to know them quite well.
Thanks for the heads-up on Gerritsen's upcoming book; I hadn't heard of it. Will have to make sure it is on our purchase list.
Yep that's the one :-) Our family actually owns a copy of it - was given as a gift by grandma when my son was born because we decorated the baby's room in Winnie the Pooh :-)

Glad you joined us Sheila! Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ is a great little world :-) Check out our topic Other Groups - maybe there will be something that interests you.

Welcome Sheila!
After finding an author I especially like - like Gerritsen - I usually try to read their work in order. I like seeing the author's character and plot development mature. With Gerritsen, be aware that her earliest work was in the Romance genre, which I skipped.
Glad you're here and that you like Tess' work.
We're just getting started... the more the merrier! :-) This summer is gonna be big for Tess Gerritsen Fans! A new book and a TV series on TNT!
Ummm. I don't think I get TNT on my basic cable... I'll have to look into that, still it's good news for fans of the Razzoli & Isles characters :-)

I really miss the The Women's Murder Club when it was canceled, but am enjoying Bones and Castle. Also there was/is a series called Murder by the Book on one of the cable channels. I'm glad the authors are getting a wider fan base so that once people watch the tv shows maybe they will search out the actual books.

Razzoli & Isles :-)
Razzoli & Isles :-)

As for the new TV series, it will be called "Rizzoli & Isles", and it will be premiering on TNT this summer. I don't know the exact time yet, but I'll try to alert everyone when I know. I just watched saw an early version of the pilot episode and it's really scary -- and funny at the same time. I loved it!

Welcome Tess! Please feel free to stop in anytime and comment :-) Thanks so much for joining the group!

Would it be arrogant to welcome you to YOUR group? I am absolutely thrilled to have you here. I've been a faithful reader since reading your first (post romance) novel, and look forward to more. Congrats on the "Rizzoli & Isles" series, who I feel I'm getting to know fairly well. That must be exciting. Will you be able to have much creative input?
Again, thank you.
Tess, I thought you were already on goodreads - I've posted a link to your fan page in another discussion topic called Gerritsen on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ.

Dustin,
I have no idea why it says Portland -- it was my son who signed me up for Facebook, and I think it opted for the nearest large city, which would have been Portland. In the past, I've been a little leery of revealing my hometown (because my hometown is so small) but trust me, this really is me!

Tom, thanks for the welcome!

I'm still a bit flummoxed about my other identity here on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ. Maybe I signed on ages ago, and just forgot I did. But it's weird that I'd choose "Calais" as my town. Well, whoever signed me up -- thank you!

You can contact Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ Admin about having two accounts if you want. The best way to reach them is through the Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ Feedback group and then message the appropriate person - they respond fairly quickly. :-)
Really, this is great to have you! You already accepted my friend invitation - will you be accepting more goodreads friends? Will you be commenting on our discussions once in a while?

no, that information is already available online :-)
But really, Tess there's lots of questions I'd love to ask you - I'm sure others would too - I don't mean personal but about your writing :-) Maybe I could set up a discussion thread called "Ask Tess" ?

I remember the feeling. I joined GR last June - If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message (just click on my profile picture and there is a send message option on my GR profile) I'll try not to bug you too much more and let you settle in :-)

Thank you for this group. I just read three of Tess's books. They were great. I read The Surgeon, The Sinner, and Body Double. I live in Alabama. Will be getting more books from our library soon.

We're more than happy to have you :-) so, you did that interview with Tess? It was an awesome interview. I've added you as a friend on goodreads but there's currently a little glitch so I can't view your profile :-)

Thanks very much - glad to be here. I've been reading Tess for awhile now and it's very exciting to see that she is a member of the group.
I'm originally from Ohio, but currently reside in GA. I am a hopeless entertainment junkie . . . books, music, movies, TV.
Ah, Colorful Colorado, such a beautiful state. I was in Denver for a software convention in November of 2008 - I almost didn't come home:-)

My name is Dustin from Colorful Colorado. I started The Tess Gerritsen Fans Group because there wasn't a group for her and I know she has lots of fans. I joined goodreads in June of 2009. My favorite authors are Dean Koontz, Stephen White and of course Tess Gerritsen.
I'd love to re-read some of Gerritsen's Rizzoli/Isles series or medical thrillers once we get some group members to join in discussions :-) I'm looking forward to the new book in the Razzoli/ Isles series which will be released on July 27th 2010!
