The 2nd challenge is harder. I doubt I can manage it."
Me either!

Some people just LOVE challenging challenges. I'm NOT one of them. But I thought I'd put it out there for those who do.
And, I'm really flexible and if the 2nd challenge is too much and people would like it to be revised in any way, all they need to do is let me know.

Yes, I got both. I'm not sure if I'll be joining the 2nd, though. Let me ponder a little more.

I know that over the summer months, many of you will be busy with family, vacations and the such, so I’m going to do something a little different this time. We’re going to have 2 challenges and I’m hoping that this will make it easier on everyone’s busy schedules. By knowing what the challenge is for the next 3 months in advance, you’ll be able to have books ready to take on vacations or for just sitting in the shade to enjoy.
The All Things Summer Challenge will span the months of June, July and August. I’m encouraging you to read 4 books per month, for a total of 12 books, but as always, you choose the number of books you want to read. As long as the books relate in some way to summer, they will count.
Some examples:
- A character’s name is Summer.
- Many weddings take place during the summer.
- School letting out for the summer.
- Families taking summer vacations.
- Summer heat waves, swimming parties, etc.
- Books published in June, July or August count, as well as books in which a character or author is named June, July or August.
- Books with summer related words in the title such as hot, heat, vacation, sun
- Books with summery images on the cover.
- And, remember, as with all the challenges, if you can tie it to the theme, it works!
I’ll be sending out invitations to participate, but if you want to take part, you’ll have to stop by this thread and actually sign up. And please, when you post your stats updates, do it like this: x/12 because this way it’s much easier for me to keep track of. I’m getting older, dontchaknow!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask, and be sure and check out the Slightly More Challenging Challenge for June, July and August.
If interested, you can sign up for that challenge here:

Attention!!!! Our very own, wise, BJ Rose, pointed out that August is Romance Awareness Month. I feel that since that's an important part of who we are as a group, that for August any romance novel should be allowable.
Of course, feel free to complete August how YOU see fit.
Thanks, BJ!!!
