If there is a book you want to read with others and have discussion about it then post that book on here.

Perhaps, you will find others who want to read the same book too.

Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler is my suggestion. It is supposed to be a good summer read. Why? It is the perfect time to read this book with others and discuss.

What do you think? Anyone interested and when would you want to start? I was thinking July 1st.

Kate (katemreads) | 94 comments I would love to read Twenty Boy Summer! It's on my reading list for the summer. I'd participate! July 1st is fine with me.

Is July 1st perfect for you?

Sherri (sherrij2003) | 170 comments I'd love to read it too, just would have to find time to fit it in...July 1 sounds good for me too so I can knock a few more on my shelf out!

Sherri (sherrij2003) | 170 comments How about the middle of each month we pick a book to start the 1st of the next month and you can participate or not...then discuss?!?!

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

I figured people already have reading commitments for June, bc I have a ton of them. July would be perfect and the dead of summer. I'm glad to have you aboard.

I'll start a topic for this book since I have interest. If you want to join *Jump to the topic for this book.*

That sounds like a good idea. It would be really fun, to me anyway.

THat might work out well.

message 10: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) It's sort of like a group read, but not everyone really has to participate, and we know that some people won't.

message 11: by Sherri (new)

Sherri (sherrij2003) | 170 comments Yep, I'd like it also because it's not mandatory...we can choose to read it if we want to! Cause I'm not really interested in some of the books that others are.

message 12: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Exactly. I think we should use your idea.

If you offer a suggest and others want to join in that book then you can start your own buddyread topic for that book and be in charge of discussion. That way we can have several buddy reads going on. Just of the reason that people enjoy different kinds of books.

Buddy Reads are supposed to encourage reading and talk about the books. It wouldn't work if it was a book that you didn't want to read.

I'm going to post a Rules topic for this.

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) You're def correct about the second paragraph.

Okay.

message 15: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing I would like to suggest Raising Dragons by Brian Davis. I have read it before, but not in a looooooong time, so a buddy read with it would be nice.

message 17: by Erica (new)

Erica | 76 comments Dovewing, from what I can see it's a series. Would you be wanting to read them all down the line?

message 18: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing I would like to read the first one, and then if other people want to read the rest of the series they can, wether it is in a buddy read or not.

message 19: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing So does anyone want to join the buddy read for Raising Dragons?

message 20: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) It looks like a good book. I would have to get it first though. And I'm not sure if I will be able to find it. :)

message 21: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing I don't think it's in most libraries, unfourtunately. :(

message 22: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Well that's fine. We don't really go to libraries anyway. We just but basically all of our books. Will try to get over there to look. :)
