Great challenge Steph! I'm in! Here's my list:
"The End" Challenge:
Duration: 04/08/2010 - 04/08/2011
The End ... is Near:
Fever Series - Karen Marie Moning:
I've read the first four books:

The End ... is Here:
Shifter Series - Rachel Vincent:

I finished the series and it's in my top 10 favorites now.
The End ... Was Expected:
Hunger Games Trilogy - Suzanne Collins:

Read all three books - very well written and a new entry in my top 10 favorite series, although I had mixed feelings about the last book...
The End ... Passed Me By:
Song of the Lioness Series - Tamora Pierce

I guess I lucked out in my picks for this challenge because this one entered the top 10 favorites, too! I really enjoyed reading about Alanna and I'll definitely be reading more of Tamora Pierce's books!
The End ... Or Is It?:
Vampire Academy Series - Richelle Mead:
I've read the first five books:

Done: 22/24
Almost there!

I'm still trying to find an original I haven't read (though happy to re-read my first selection)...more happy hunting!

So far, the only add'l series I've found ending with the 2011 release is "Wicked Lovely" by Melissa Marr. Last book = Darkest Mercy. I'll keep looking though.

We need a thread - series that have ended and/or are ending soon.

Actually, I was doing the same kind of search...and popping through blogs, etc. Part of it is that many authors don't know if they'll actually end a series or not....or so it seems.

The End ... Is Near
Read a series that will be ending with the book released in 2011 - I am re-reading the first 4 Fever books in anticipation of the release of Shadowfever by KMM later this month.

Welcome to the challenge, Amanda.

..."
I so agree! LOL!

I've created a 'THE END: Past, Present & Future' thread to track series that have or will be ending. I'll be copyin' over the ones I'm aware of, but I'd love it if everyone would add to it.
'THE END' thread

The Wolves of Mercy Falls--I've read Shiver and didn't much care for it, so I'm not crazy about reading the last two.
Jaz Sparks - really don't want to read 8 books of a series I'm not really interested in picking up in the first place.
Fever - I've already read the 1st four books and feel kinda cheaty using that one for this challenge when I only need to read the last book.
Georgina Kincaid - same as the Fevers, I've already read the 1st five books, just need to read the final one.
So you see my dilemma. :)

I do! I wish I could offer up something juicy for ya. All I got is what's over on the THE END thread. I'm sorry.
Just remember: Members are welcome to add more than 1 series to each category, if they wish, but only 1 is needed to complete the challenge. Members may also choose to complete 1, 3 or all 5 categories. So, you can stop now and be good. Or you could throw in Shadowfever for good measure, then stop. :)

But I'll keep the Fevers on the back burner--if we're closing in on the end of this one and I still haven't found a series ending this year that I haven't read yet (and want to read), I'll use the Fevers.

The Wolves of Mercy Falls--I've read Shiver and didn't much care for it, so I'm not crazy about reading the last two."
Laura Lulu -- same here with Shiver. I read the first one. Like it but think that enough. I think that the first book was already wrapped up nicely. The second was kinda afterthought & now totally abandon the series.

But I'll keep the Fevers on the back burner--if we're closing in on the end ..."
Sounds good. I definitely know what ya mean. I'll let ya know if I come across another ne you might like to read instead.
I've been going over the challenges I have signed up for and I find I'm already weeding out a few that I have lost interest in doing. So that being said I going to bow out of this one. Good luck to those who finish :)

Here is what I have so far (I'll update dates and rating with my next post :)).
Goal: Read at least one full series for each category listed.
Duration: year 2011..."
Looks good. Enjoy! :)

The End ... Is Near (Series ending in 2011) Fever by Karen Marie Moning (May change because I don't know if I can get the last in MM edition by the end of the challenge!)
To Read
The End ... Is Here(Series ending in 2010) Demonica by Larissa Ione> (All 4*)
The End ... Was Expected: Glass by Maria V. Snyder
Previously read:
The Bride Finder
The Night Drifter

I was using Kevin Hearn's Iron Druid Chronicles (Hounded, Hexed, Hammered), it's a trilogy with the last book out this month, and I read the 1st two this year, but I just read that his publisher gave him 3 more books. Good for him, bad for me. Lol.
