Richard (mrredwood) | 123 comments The for the HardSF BotM at Yahoo groups.

It's a doosie this time, with nineteen to choose from. That includes four each by the recently deceased James P. Hogan (July 12, 2010) and the relatively recently deceased Arthur C. Clarke (March 18, 2008). Remember, you can vote for any number so, for example, if there are only two that you wouldn't want to read, you could select all seventeen of the others. Reverse voting, courtesy of Yahoo.

For your research, the books are:
Flood by Stephen Baxter
Weapons of Choice, by John Birmingham
The Crucible of Time by John Brunner
Childhood's End , by Arthur C. Clarke
Prelude to Space , by Arthur C. Clarke
The Sands of Mars by Arthur C. Clarke
The Songs of Distant Earth , by Arthur C. Clarke
For the Win by Cory Doctorow
Forever Free by Joe Haldeman
The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein
Code of the Lifemaker , by James P. Hogan
Inherit the Stars , by James P. Hogan
The Proteus Operation , by James P. Hogan
Thrice Upon A Time , by James P. Hogan
When Harlie Was One , by David Gerrold
Cosmonaut Keep by Ken MacLeod
Galatea 2.2 , by Richard Powers
Forty Signs of Rain by Kim Stanley Robinson
WWW:Wake , by Robert J. Sawyer

Take your time. We know it's a big decision.

Al "Tank" (alkalar) | 47 comments Can't navigate through Yahoo's silly sign-in routines. Although I already have a Yahoo account, the nitwit thing wants me to reset my password and jump through a bunch of other hoops. It's just not worth the effort.

Larry (hal9000i) | 108 comments Hmmm I only have 2 books on that list, both Clarke and one of them,Songs of Distant Earth I'm not sure I'd class as Hard SF. The other Clarke I have, Sands of Mars, I read recently. And I too have trouble with Yahoo- used to post messages to the ACC(larke) list but not anymore.
