UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Hey, why doesn't everyone answer that...

What was your favorite read of this challenge?

message 362: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (last edited Sep 29, 2010 07:22PM) (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments For me it's hard to choose. For historical romance, it was Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean and for romantic suspense, it would have to be Naked Edge (I-Team, #4) by Pamela Clare

message 363: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) | 718 comments My favorite read of this challenge was Untamed by Pamela Clare. Loved it! 5 stars from beginning to end.

Hard to choose but I think my fave was To Catch an Heiress, bit disappointed that the other book in the series - How to Marry a Marquis - in my mind wasn't as good.
Also have to mention that I liked very much Street Game, The Pregnancy Test and Cry Wolf (although in this case the second in series - Hunting Ground - was better).

message 366: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Out of all of those, I've only read Street Game, and I really liked it!

An..."

Oh my, Ender's Game is one of my all time favourites. Sadly I haven't read the whole Ender series although as much I've read it's bit different. But I did read the parallel Shadow series and I loved it. It was especially interesting to read Ender's Shadow, where most of the story happens also in the Battleschool but from Bean's point of view. I recommend it. Other books in Shadow series tell what happens with the kids when they're back on earth.

No, I didn't. I couldn't find my last book on Thursday ready for my train journey! I'll get to it this weekend. I've failed the challenge but it'll be a sense of completion. If I hadn't read so many other books - like Gabaldon's Voyager- and half of Jo Beverly's Mallorens I'd have been fine! I'm so pleased to have finished George Elliot's Adam Bede as part of the challenge- it's good to clear out some of my "tbr" pile and I like to read the classics sometimes.

The the record my favourite read and only 5* was Mary Balogh's More than a mistress. More Than a Mistress (Dudley, #1) by Mary Balogh

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments September is a rough month. Personally, I can't wait for the Spell May challenge! LOL That should be easy!!! And I don't think you failed the challenge, you just didn't complete it, that's all. You've had some amazing reads and made a dent in your TBR shelf. That doesn't sound like failure to me. I'm glad you joined in. :)
