message 8: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 3 comments I definitely would add Zlata's Diary to to the Bosnia list.
It was written by Zlata Filipovic in 1994 when she was 11 years old, about her experiences living through the war in Sarajevo.
For teachers too, this would be great to compare/contrast with Diary of Anne Frank.

message 17: by Voula (new)

Voula (otl1987) (otl1987) The books I'll suggest are not only located in Greece, they are also written by a Greek author, and translated in several languages. The author is MARKARIS Petros and my favorite book of his would be Si è suicidato il Che.

Also, Scarabeo and other books of Michele Guittari, located in Italy and, to be exact, most of them in Florence.
