Which heroes are the most steadfast, constant, never-swaying in their devotion to the heroines out of the books you read? You know he'd never cheat or her or leave her, even twenty years after the book ends. Please list hero and book. Thanks!

Christine Feehan's Carpathian males, can't remember names off the bat but titles include Dark Prince, Dark Magic, and Dark Legend

She tends to write men in her series (possibly excluding the titles with Game in them) who psychically, chemical/hormonally or emotionally are so dependent on finding the right woman to save their sanity or soul, that they turn themselves inside out to please her once they've captured her. One of my favorites is Jackson in the Drake Sisters books.

Another example of this kind of tie would be Lora Leigh's Breeds, where DNA level changes occur in the non-breed partner due to what I think is a virus in the saliva and semen of the Breed. The tie on the Breed's side is emotional before it is physical, the glands producing the 'infected' fluids only surface after the 'mate' is found. The most recent example is Styx in Styx's Storm.

I admire both Feehan and Leigh for the ability to keep a series fresh after more than 20 books.

I do love how steadfast Feehan's heroes are. They might be dominating, but you know how much they love/adore their heroines.

I also like that Feehan and Leigh write strong personalities, both men and women, who end up revealing their weaknesses and insecurities to their loved ones. They are strong enough to open up and risk rejection.

The heroes from the TROUBLE SHOOTERS series by Suzanne Brockmann, the heroes from the Dark Hunters series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, the heroes from the Carpathian series and Ghost Walkers series by Christine Feehan, the heroes from the Brotherhood of the Black Dagger series by J.R. Ward.

Roarke from J.D.Robb's "In Death" series just popped into my mind. He's a favorite of mine and always stands behind his favorite lady detective!

Funny that Jamie from Outlander is mentioned. Technically he did sleep with three other women. Plus had a child with another woman. Granted Claire was back in her time and he didn't think he would ever see her again but still. LOL

The Mackenzie men from Linda Howard's The Complete Mackenzies Collection. Those men will be completely fascinated by (and head over heels in love with) their wives until the end of times.

It also has to be said that Claire went back and slept with Frank, her husband.
He is still one of the best book heroes I have ever read.

I second this!! I discover so many books come now with billionaire theme. I don't know if they will top Roarke.

I agree. I love Jamie and Outlander is my favorite series. Technically though he did cheat but like you said so did Claire.

He was who popped into my head too. All the alphas from Nalini Singh's Psy changeling series to come to mind
