Please DO add your favorite Librivox books to the book shelf.

Please DON'T critique the readers or recording quality here.

Susan (BookLisnr) | 1 comments I am so happy to finally find others who enjoy listening to great books VIA entertaining narrators! Especially bc you all recognize the value of LibriVox--the budget saving option.

I read your list of great narrators with gratitude and want to contribute. Soon after joining LibriVox, I learned to choose books by the quality of the narrator. I will never finish the 1st 4 chapters of M. Bovary bc the narrator's has a terrible lisp & sounds terribly bored. However, the book came to life when Ruth Golding took over. Luckily, she has many recordings on LV. I highly recommend anything she narrates!

I will continue to post as I discover others. Thanks!
Susan

Ralph McEwen | 2 comments Hello, I saw this group and just had to join. I listen to the Short Science Fiction Collections on my MP3 player as I walk to and from work. I am truly amazed with the volunteers and the quality of their productions. I even used a couple of LibriVox's story to get my wife to start listening to audiobooks. I recently became a librarian during the Amazon departure. I am presently adding LibriVox editions I have listened to, to GR. Check out some and let me know how I am doing.
