Yes, Alexandria, there is a separate group folder for each one. i.e. English, Scottish, Italian, Egyptian, Asian, Mythical, etc.

We think this will work much better and will allow un-touched dynasties a chance. Glad you guys are liking it!
Basically, the biggest change is that a Royalty sub Category will be picked by member poll every two months. The poll will be posted around the 5th of the month in January (beginning in 2012), March, May, July, September, and November. It will be open for 5 - 7 days.
Once the subcategory is determined, it will be posted and a thread will be opened for book nominations. This thread will be open for the period of 5 - 7 days. Below are the nomination rules:
--Nominated books must concern the chosen sub category
--Each member is allowed to nominate up to two books
--In your nomination please include the GR link to the book, the author, and tell us a little bit about the book or subject. Since this group encompasses such a wide subject area, there are probably many members who may not be familiar with any given royal figure.
--Books may be either fiction or non-fiction.
After all the nominations have been listed, we will take a look at the nominations that have been made and determine which of the following will happen:
1. If there are fewer than 10 nominations a poll will be set up to vote on the nominations. So far this has been the usual course of events.
2. If there are more than 10 nominations we will ask all members to post their top 5 choices, and we will take the most popular 5 of those and create a poll for all members to vote on.
The book poll will be open for a period of 5 days and the closing date will be clearly posted. This should end the process early enough to allow people to find the book or request it from the library. Since our group reads last for two month, this should give all members plenty of time.
A NOTE ABOUT DISCUSSION THREADS:
Before the start date of the group read, a discussion thread will be opened for the group read. Our discussions are very unstructured, with each member jumping in whenever they want to discuss, post thoughts, post quotes, ask questions, etc. Luckily, there are not really many spoilers with these books (at least not as too basic plot).
In cases where we have picked a HUGE book to read (Memoirs of Cleopatra and Sunne in Splendour come to mind) we will start an addition discussion thread for those readers who are starting later, or reading at a more leisurely pace.
