Neko This thread is for ONLINE book sales. This thread isn't to be confused with 'where do you buy your books' though.

So, for example..You get an email (like I did reccently) and it's for a massive blow out sale! Post it here :D

Sharing is caring..ehehehe ;)

message 2: by Neko (new)

Neko I'll go first..

Booktopia is having ANOTHER sale but this time it's for their Birthday! They are 7 years old :D

They have over 2,700 titles under $10!!!

This sale ends soon. So please get in early as stocks will run out.

For those who don't get the email follow this link-

GO GO GO :d

message 3: by Mandapanda (new)

Mandapanda This is great Laura. Hopefully we'll save our group members some hard earned cash! I'll keep a lookout for sales too.:)

message 4: by Neko (new)

Neko Great Mandy! A buck saved here and there can go towards more books..mwahahaha!

Thanks Laura...I had a look through their catalogue but not tooooo hard....LOL Therefore, I didn't find anything to buy...PHEW!!!

message 6: by Neko (new)

Neko @Brenda- Lol! Nice one. I looked through the whole catalog and found 2 books but they both turned out not to be in english :/ Saved some $$ :D

@Carmel- Hush you :p lol

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

whoop whoop time to feed the addiction
this is great so much better then buying full price in store! :D
love saving a buck or two

message 8: by Neko (new)

Neko This is a 'sort of' sale.

If you make a wishlist on book depository you might get an email giving you a code to use on that wish list of yours.

I got one today so every book got 10% off plus whatever discount the book had on it beforehand.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

I hadn't put a wish list on bookdepository. I had put one on Amazon and it identified books that went on sale but not directly you have to visit the site.

message 10: by Neko (last edited Feb 27, 2011 05:59PM) (new)

Neko Not sure how many peple use Zavvi.com? It's in the UK. Shipping appears to be free to Australia as well :) I'm about to place my first order with them. But I've known people who have used them for game purchases before.

Anyways...They seem to have mega sales every so often but for a LIMITED amount of time. Right how there is an 80% off book sale.

Maybe you'll find a book you haven't been able to purchase else where ;D

message 11: by Maggie (new)

Maggie Booktopia sent me an email today: I have attached it below.

So did Nile:

message 12: by Mandapanda (new)

message 16: by Neko (new)

Neko zavvi is having another sale where you can save 10% off when you put in the discount code: MILF10

message 17: by Neko (new)

Neko Currently Play Asia is having a 48 hour sale.

I always find their site to be a little confusing but I've bought from them before with no problems. Might be a chance to pick up some Manga (possibly not translated) and other books. Plus other Asian goodies :)

message 18: by Neko (new)

Neko Nope, it's not. If i purchase manga it's got to be translated but because this site confuses me I tend to shop elsewhere.

Thanks Jayne :) How good a fishpond though? I've heard some very mixed results from other peopel who've bought from them in the past.

Really? I have ordered from them a few times and haven't had a problem. I recently ordered a textbook from them i needed for a course and it was about $20 cheaper than anywhere else and it was free shipping. I received it within the week without any hassles!

I suppose with any service there's going to be good and bad reviews though.

message 22: by Neko (new)

Neko Cool :) Yeah, i agree on good/bad reviews..I just heard more bad than good. But it was for purchasing video games so maybe games are handled differently.

But great to know it's worked out well for you :))

I'm trying to collect all the JD Robb In Death series...I read my first one (out of order) early last year, and loved it, so have been reading them on and off since then. I decided recently to collect them all, so that's what I'm doing...a big discount, and free delivery...oh goodness...

Vengeance in Death, Witness in Death and Judgement in Death

(PLUS I just got 4 different books from Big W's sale this morning at 2 for $20, but that's for a different thread I think..lol ;))

Well, congrats on collecting more of the series.
I'm bummed that i didn't get to the Big W sale! Hmm... still deciding whether i need to spend any more money on books.... although free shipping and discounts are VERY tempting!

It's still on Jayne..the Big W sale that it!! Thought it was for one week, which would have ended it Wednesday, so I got a shock to see it still on when I was in there today!!! So you might be lucky :)

message 35: by Lesley (new)

Lesley | 328 comments I also had the '2for1' deal from Fishpond UK. They sent the same book twice. I haven't done anything about it yet.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

yes they justtold dad the either keep it or donate it to your library haha fantastic :D

message 37: by Lesley (new)

Lesley | 328 comments I sometimes buy from megabooks uk, through ebay. Secondhand books (though some are new)and sometimes ex-library books. Most 99 pence plus low postage rate which totals at about Aus$6 per book. Great value I think, with the library books being of larger size and very few marks if any. Worth checking out if you don't mind secondhand books.

message 38: by Neko (new)

Neko Never thought to check Angus and Robertson..But with everything going on the sales are also online (atleast some of it).
