Our dear friend Kay has volunteered to step back up to the plate and become moderator again. I'm going to stay on as well as Christy (if she likes). I was also wondering if anyone else felt like they want to be a moderator we are open to adding to our crew.

We have a great group here and I often feel bad that I don't have a significant amount of time to dedicate to responding to more posts. In the last couple of months my responsibility at work has beefed up and my free time is at a major deficit. I stress over not being here more and was considering stepping down. I talked to Kay as I feel like she is still an important part of the board and she offered to come back. She is still pretty busy but maybe together we can make up one full mod...lol

The short story is that we all love this group and we want to make sure that we keep it going and that it is also growing. We are always open to suggestions and want the members to feel like that this is a place for all of us.

Thanks everyone for the e-mails offering to help.

People are asking what it entails to be a moderator. Basically it's just reading all the different posts and responding here and there when you see something that you can contribute to or start a discussion. It's also being available to answer questions and welcome new members. Lastly, it means sharing idea's with the other moderators for improving our group. However, we always invite anyone with an idea to share. It's not a lot to do by any means. Having several people just helps to lessen the burden and ensure that someone is monitoring the board a couple of days a week. If it sounds like something you might want to try I can always add you and then remove you if you change your mind. Sometimes it fits in your life and things change and you need to go back to being just a member :)
