Hello fellow team members! :-D
*sits behind a desk and bangs fist on it* Ouch.... Somebody make a note to get a gavel for our next meeting.
Ahem.....There are two things on the agenda before the game starts.
1. We need to pick a team captain.
2. We need to come up with a totally badass group name that put fear in the hearts of our opponents.
So, suggestions for a team name? We could do a play off of our team number. On the discussion thread, Cindy's little Bingo cheer gave some the idea of maybe using a paranormal creature as a starting point for a name. I kind of liked that idea.
Opinions? Suggestions? I am willing to dance around in costumes or whatnot in order to inspire you all. :-D

Erm, well wannabe team captains could come forward with their pitches and we'll have a bit of a vote sesh, so anyone want to do it? Alyssa?
And on team names, I'll be having a think today so I'll get back to you with that. I like using a paranormal creature but which one's the best??

I like how you put that, Josie. I'm going to have a think today too. :-)

When are you going to watch it?

I'm betting I'll go see it next week on one of my days off. Then, I'll see it again at some point, cuz I was planning on going with a friend.
I'm gonna bring lots of tissues. I just know I'll be crying. Haha.
I'm from Illinois, US.

I'm from the UK. I guess everyone will check in later :)

I'm from Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. We will be on the world stage this week because of Betty Ford's recent death. It's almost as big a deal in my town as THE MOVIE!
Can't wait to see the movie, but all of the midnight shows are sold out! Our theaters have been running the older movies this week. Since my Harry-Potter-obsessed daughter was too young to see them in the theaters originally, I told her to pick two. We saw Chamber of Secrets and The Goblet of Fire. It was hard not to cry last night when Amos Diggory cries!

I'm from India but living in Singapore which means that I get to watch HP 7 in 3D movie in about 20 hrs from now. Yipppeee!! And I'm almost done with (yet another) marathon of the HP books.
Hmm, I'm still in love with X-Men movie and the THOR movie. Those movies were so damn good! Mmm, Hemsworth and Fassbender were just so

Since I have a 4 yo, I'll be seeing the new Winnie the Pooh movie. Let me know how Harry Potter is, I'll probably be going to that one in a week or so when the lines die down.

Suzanne, it's actaully pretty easy to play. Steph does all the hard work. Once a week on Sunday (which translates into late Saturday for us in the Midwest), she'll announce a new shelf and post the link in your team thread. Just search the shelf for a book that you have or can get your hands on quickly, read it and review it on your team thread. Nothing real complicated, unless you want to. Just your basic thoughts, would you read more in the series/by the author, that kind of thing. Once your whole team has finished and let's Steph know, she will take care of marking the official bingo card. Repeat each week until someone has a BINGO. The game is supposed to start on July 24 (late July 23 for you and me). Hope you have fun!
Alyssa, Have you considered The Fluffy Bunnies. That'll strike terror in all our hearts. ::Smirks::

Suzanne, Daffodil's right, the game's pretty easy, you'll see. ;)
Apart from Kristen and Suzanne that don't wanna be captains, the rest of us are in the running? Have you all played before?
Daffodil, your intimidation tactics aren't working on us! We're Team #1 -- get it? #1!
As for names, for some reason I'm reminded of "Public Enemy #1" (published enemy #1? :P), or R3w1nd or another R3 & 1 combination word.

I haven't played before so I'm out for captaincy but I've

My only worry about being captain is that I had computer problems a few times earlier this year. Things have been good for a while now, so it should be fine. I guess if it does die again, we would just have to figure something out. Can't really help it. (Will have to get a new one if it dies again. Warranty fix-er-upper thing is done. Sadness. It was pretty handy the last few months.)
I'm surprised Steph didn't have it marked who was new and who had played before. Didn't think about it this time I guess. (I think she did it last time? I was a n00b then.) Our beautiful game creator is pretty busy, I'm sure.
What does a captain do? Good question, Vi. Probably would be good to know if someone wants to be captain.
When a new shelf is announced, the captain will make a post with everyone in the group listed. Once everyone has announced what they're going to read, the captain will update that list. Then, once people start posting their reviews and star ratings, the captain again updates the lists. So once everyone is done, they let Steph know so that she'll put the marker on the game board. (I think that's it.) Basically just stalk the group and harass everyone until they've finished their books. Then, let Steph know so that we can have a shiny marker on our game board.
I'm sooo ready for Bingo. It's soo relaxing. CC4 was stressful as heck, cuz sometimes you had to read super fast to get a spot you wanted. With Bingo, you don't really have to be fast. That would only happen if a shelf was announced and it gave a couple of people a Bingo at the same time.
Anyways, once we get a captain, we'll pick a name? I saw a couple of suggestions, but I know that once some light bulbs go off, we'll have too many brilliant once to choose from. I sense that we're quite a smart group of ladies. ;-)

If everyone else is fine with it, I think you should be captain. In case you have computer problems I could sub in or something and make sure everything runs smoothly.

I gotta a question, if she generates a shelf and say book #5 in a series is listed, but you've only read book #1. If you read book #2, does that count or would you have to read that EXACT book?

I've played before. I just quit my summer job, so I have TONS of free time now. I now have plenty of time to be cap-i-tan of the #1 team in the universe!!

I thought the Published Enemy #1 that Thenia suggested earlier was cute. Or, we could be super cocky and just call ourselves THE Winners.
Or, do we all have a fave hottie guy from a series? For example, if we all like Barrons from Karen Marie Moning's Fever series, then we could call ourselves Barrons' Babes.

Kristen, you're leading us to bingo battle, then? You've got my vote (with Alyssa and myself as subs if you need help, of course) and if everyone else agrees, we should make it official! Enjoy your summer now that you don't have a job - lots of rest and reading!
As for names, should we put the ones we already have in a vote or do you think we should brainstorm some more?

On to the names......
I think what we have so far are the following:
- Public Enemy #1
- Published Enemy #1 (I think this is the one that Kristen was agreeing with me about, Thenia)
- R3W1ND
- Something paranormal creature related
- Something mythology related
I think that's all there was so far. If anything didn't get put in there, please mention it again.
Ooops.... (I just got off work. Kind of bored. I see things that need to be done, and I just start doing them.) If Kristen is gonna be the big boss-woman in charge, I probably should let her handle this. *hands gavel over to Kristen* It's only been used once. Be sure to really bang it hard. (It's fun!) :-D

For CC4, the Orange team didn't actually pick their until like 2 weeks after the game had started. (Maybe a week, maybe it was longer.... I can't remember. But it was funny. They had an awesome name.)

We could make up a name that is Harry Potter related to celebrate the last movie.
Lol. We've got a lot categories to pick names from, but not many actual names. Ha.
Hmmm.... I just posted this and now I'm editing it. Haha.
I'm getting HP related ideas. Lol.
Severus Snape's Sexy Sirens
Gorgeous Gryffindors
Hottie Hufflepuffs
Scintillating Slytherins
Ravishing Ravenclaws
I don't think I'm lovin' any of them though. But, eh. (I'm getting a little tired. You'll be able to tell when I'm low on sleep, cuz I get a little odd. Just tell me to get off the computer and go to bed.)

Darling Daughter and I are watching Deathly Hallows #1 right now...so I'll throw out some more alliteration:
Dumbledore's Darling Dames
Magnificent Muggles
Hagrid's Honeys (I absolutely adore Hagrid!)
Quidditch Queens
(Sirius) Black's Bad-Ass Babes
Let's narrow it down and have a vote.

We really have the world and midwestern USA covered!

I'm a high school English teacher, so I'm doing nothing but reading and getting a suntan until September. I also teach yoga one night a week.

As for the titles, although I love HP, none of them stick out to me... I think my vote goes on one of the two: Public Enemies #1 or Published Enemies #1 or something of the sort. It would be more fun if we had a Lord of the Rings movie coming out so we could use the ring line - One to rule them all, one to bind them etc etc :P

That is so cool that you practice Aikido!! Now your picture makes lots of sense ;)

Wow, what with yoga, martial arts etc, the other teams won't dare mess with us ;)
I've just come back from watching HP7-p2!! It was completely brilliant, hope you all watch it soon :)

I'm fine with Kristen being the team leader. I guess I'm ahead all of you between 5 (Thenia) and 12-13 hours (those in US). I'm more closer to Steph's time (she's ahead by an hr or two).
I like Bellatrix Bitches (mainly because I'm so in love with the actor who plays her in the movie. She's acts brilliantly!). But I'm cool with Published Enemy #1 too.
