The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

Rating: 5/5

I absolutely loved it! It made me think a lot about my future and how to achieve my dreams. I loved how optimistic Randy is about life, it also makes you think not to take things for granted.

Favorite line: Time is all you have. And you may find one day that you have less than you think

Chike and the River Chike and the River by Chinua Achebe

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Good story, though I recommend it for children and very young adults.
I've heard about this author so many times before; especially his novel 'Things Fall Apart'. I might read that some time later.

WoW!, I admit that i immensely enjoyed this book!. Nahal Tajadod has told her story day by day for the sake of getting her Iranian passport renewed!
apparently from her way of dealing with different personalities she meets, i can tell how kind and helpful she is to everyone who asks her a favor.
Nahal gave us a bunch of iranian words and traditions, some were surprising and others were in Arabic so i already knew them.
What i really liked about her is that she always find similarities between everyone she meets and a celebrity, and decides to call them by the celebrity name she finds similarities with!
i find this book tremendously exciting, full of adventures, depression, and full of French coffee tins Nahal has.
what i find interesting about the book cover is that it's illustrated by almost all people and events that she encountered through her one week and a half staying in Tehran!

I’m completely in love with this series. It’s the third book in a row I read and I never wanted this joy to end. After the thrilling ending of Frostbite, we’re in for another bone-chilling ride.

Kristina (kristinalawhead) Kristy's Mystery Admirer (The Baby-Sitters Club, #38) by Ann M. Martin

3/5

Okay this is kind of a cop out because I read this in like an hour before bed, just because I had never read it before and wanted something mindless to put me to sleep. I didn't have any time to read anything else that week. I will forever love the BSC though :)

Foundation and Earth
Isaac Asimov

4/5

A detective story set in the Foundation universe. Explores many unique and truly interesting concepts for how a human society might evolve if isolated for thousands of years. Also contains many discussions about a fascinating idea/choice introduced at the end of Foundation's Edge.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

It was okay. I had higher hopes for this book. It felt like I was watching an action parody that purposefully pushes in all the cliches. Definitely not your typical Evanovich.
