K.S.R. (kareyshane) I saw a message where Robin mentioned Rapidograph pens...boy does that bring back memories my mother used them all the time.

Last Spring an artist from London tipped me off to the joys of TRIA pens. They're expensive but I'm considering getting some one day...the do a really smooth bleed.

Do any of you have favorite tools of the artistic trade?

Dee Marie (dee_marie) Can't get by online without my Wacom Tablet :]

Never heard of a TRIA pen. I will have to look it up and give it a try. Thanks for letting us know about it Karey.

Hope your eyes are doing ok after surgery?

Gina (grcollia) My Rotring Rapidographs... they travel everywhere with me. My bundle of pencils, a box of Caran D'Ache Supracolor Soft Aquarelle Pencils, brushes, journal, water bottle, sumi-e ink, stanley knife, scalpel, ruler, tracing paper... I think that's it. I have a big bag ;o)

K.S.R. (kareyshane) This is great! I'm learning about art tools I hadn't heard of...the Rapidographs, sure. My mom always had them lying around the house. But what is sumi-e ink, and what are oil-based sharpies? Or a wacom tablet? I'm going to look them up right now...

Thanks for asking about my eye, Dee. I'm seeing so well now. It's a real miracle for me.

Karey

Dee Marie (dee_marie) Great to hear that you are "in vision" once more Karey :]

Oh and if you do any work at all on the computer...be it art of photography...you MUST have a drawing tablet. A mouse just doesn't cut it!

Cathie (countrygarden) | 1 comments i have one of those travel cases (about 7x9") with lots of compartments and zippers to hold my pencils, colored pencils, a little watercolor pan box, and my different ink pens. i usually use pigma microns or the zig millenium pens so if they get lost it isn't a big thing. i like to draw outside a lot. i will have to investigate the drawing tablet. have been seeing those mentioned a lot lately
