Which list authors do you want to read more of than is on the list?

I absolutely love reading Charles Dickens, and George Eliot.

Cormac McCarthy, Toni Morrison, Vladimir Nabokov

1) Gore Vidal (He's among THE BEST.)
2) John le Carré
3) James Clavell
4) Winston Graham
5) Louis Auchincloss
6) James Baldwin
7) Elizabeth Jane Howard
8) Georges Simenon
9) Jorge Amado
10) Christopher Hitchens (his memoir is fantastic!)

11) Cynthia Harrod-Eagles
12) Nicholas Monsarrat (deserving of more recognition)

13) William Boyd
14) Patrick O'Brian (he is as good as they say he is; I've been a fan since 1994)

15) James Michener
16) Joseph Roth
17) Toni Morrison
18) Richard Woodman (his "Nathaniel Drinkwater" novels are a delight; highly informative, too)

19) John Mortimer
20) Bharati Mukherjee
