James (theadventurousbookreader) Number 2- Finish The Martian Chronicles on January 2, 2011.

Mini Review: A really good book and one the best science fiction books I've read in a very long time. The book is easily one of the classics of science fiction.

The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury

message 9: by James (new)

James (theadventurousbookreader) Number 1- Finish Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire today.

Mini Review: I have no idea why I didn't read this book until now. I should of have read this book a long time ago. This book has many twist and turns to make the reader want to read the next book of the Harry Potter series. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read or enjoys reading fantasy books.

Tatum | 459 comments Nice job :) I am looking forward to hearing what you think of some of those series (Dark Materials and Maze Runner especially). They both look really good!

message 11: by James (last edited Feb 01, 2012 05:42PM) (new)

James (theadventurousbookreader) I have been currently reading Eldest since about January 2, 2012. The e-book version of Eldest in my kindle is taking a while since I am busy with my education.

Upadate 2: Almost halfway done with the book.

message 12: by Tatum (new)

Tatum | 459 comments That's fine, the important thing is that you are reading! And education is very important. Besides, those books are a long, involved read.

message 13: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3888 comments Why don't you update your first post?

Those books are big. Never read the first one yet.

message 14: by James (new)

James (theadventurousbookreader) I updated the info for the first post about the book and I read the first book a few months ago.

message 15: by James (new)

James (theadventurousbookreader) Can someone help me decide the next book I want to read next after Eldest? Thank you for your help.

message 16: by Tatum (new)

Tatum | 459 comments Why don't you read The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass (I am guessing you must have read The Golden Compass) so you can say you are done with that series?

Or if not that, Order of the Phoenix was excellent, but also very long, and you've read nothing but long books so far this year so you may need a break.

message 17: by Johanna (new)

Johanna | 766 comments The Hobbit isn´t very long if you want to have a shorter one.

message 18: by James (last edited Feb 29, 2012 02:52PM) (new)

James (theadventurousbookreader) Number 49- Finished on February 29, 2012

Mini Review: The book has a lot of character development and Christopher Palini writing improved a lit bit. I wish Christopher not really discritive on some part of his story.

Eldest

message 19: by James (new)

James (theadventurousbookreader) I am currently reading Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz, which is a really short book that has 248 pages. So far the book is a page- turner.

message 20: by Johanna (new)

Johanna | 766 comments Do you still want to participate on the new-to-you-author challenge James or do you want me to take your name from the challenge? If you want to, do you have any new authors for this year?

message 21: by James (last edited Mar 17, 2012 07:39PM) (new)

James (theadventurousbookreader) I finshed Stormbreaker and I am currently reading The Maze Runner.

message 22: by James (new)

James (theadventurousbookreader) The Maze Runner is really good book. I can't wait until I read the ending of this book. At least, I almost halfway done with the book.

message 23: by James (new)

James (theadventurousbookreader) The Maze Runner Mini Review: The fifth book that I completed this year.

The book gets better as you continue to read the book. I cannot wait to get the second book sometime soon. I would recommend this book if you have a chance to read it.

message 24: by James (last edited Apr 10, 2012 06:02PM) (new)
