Hi all,
Nominate the books you'd like to read for Jan/Feb here.

Since February is African American History Month (or Black History Month), please nominate books that fit this theme.

We will take nominations until the 4th and then we will vote.

Remember, one nomination per person. Link to title and author.

Sarah Louise (keytan) I have recently been interested in the book Lavinia by Ursula K. Le Guin . It's about the founding of rome.

Sarah, Lavinia doesn't fit the theme I've specified. You can nominate a different book if you like. Please remember to link to title and author rather than using the cover view. This makes it easier for when I set up the poll. Thanks!

Donna (drspoon) | 28 comments The Long Song It is about slavery but takes place in Jamaica - might fit if you stretch the category a little.

Kristine, I didn't realize the Meridien was a sequel to The Color Purple. I've removed it from the poll, as we haven't read the first book yet.
