Legend Review:
I bought this book because I love distopian books. Also because the symbol on the front was interesting and I was wondering if it had some kind of special meaning. Well I can safely say that this symbol has a huge story that involves the military of a new country that took over after the US disappeared.
This book is written in a very interesting way. It is written in two point of views. One is that a a notorious criminal of the Republic named Day. He is a good-looking fifteen year old boy who has been on the run from the military since he was ten and took his Trial. Day is agile, smart, and tries to help those who need it. His character is deep and has so many twists he keeps the plot from falling flat. The second point of view is that of June Iparis a Republic soldier who got a perfect score on her Trials and a prodigy of the Republic. She is beautiful, smart, and all around a kick ass character. She is put on a mission to find Day and that is where the whole plot hits hard and fast.
The plot was well thought out. It was interesting and done in a way that kept you riveted right from the very beginning. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next through almost the entire book. There were no boring patches at all. The only problem is the romance detracted a little from the story. Overall very well written and thought out and I recommend this book for all those who like distopian genre books.
This is fine Elise. Thanks!
