B. (booksnobwannabe) Getting ready for the 2012 challenge!

I feel that this year I will be able to reach my 50 books in a year goal! For the last couple of years I could not get past 20, but this year will be different. I have already completed one book and its not even January 15th!!

1. The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins

I cannot wait for the movie to come out!

B. (booksnobwannabe) 2. One for the Money (Stephanie Plum, #1) by Janet Evanovich

A quick read, but kind of predictable, but not easy to find out who did what and to whom.

Another book that I am excited about the movie coming out!!

Until next time....

Greg | 48 comments Hunger Games was my first book of the year too. Is there a release date for the movie?

message 4: by B. (new)

B. (booksnobwannabe) The movie comes out on March 23rd

B. (booksnobwannabe) 3. Waiting to Exhale by Terry McMillan

A book that I have several times throughout my life. The last time was in 1998 and I wanted to see how I viewed the ladies now versus back then before I tackle the sequel "Getting to Happy".

Edgar Ornelas (daytripper) Hunger games was not my first read of 2012 but it was one of the first (duh)... third I think. Looking forward to the movie. I feel like I'm gonna like your taste in books so I'll keep you in mind.
Do you recommend the Evanovich one?

message 7: by B. (new)

B. (booksnobwannabe) Evanovich's book was okay. I think her series will be a perfect for me when I feel like I have read a lot of heavy books. They perfect for the summer or a nice weekend read.

Can't wait, hope it does the book justice.

Thanks for the recommendation of One for the Money- it good to know books that cleanse the palate

B. (booksnobwannabe) 13. Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell

It took me five months to read it, but it was an awesome read and will be on my top 10 list for favorite books of the year for sure!!!

message 19: by B. (new)

B. (booksnobwannabe) 14. The Power of Habit Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business by Charles Duhigg

It was okay. Lots of interesting facts about some of my favorite things.

message 20: by B. (new)

B. (booksnobwannabe) 15. Getting to Happy by Terry McMillan

This is why I do not like sequels, they never live up to the first book.
