A couple of reminders:

Please post as follows:

Rolled 5
Move to Square 39 (historical romance)

OR

Rolled 5
Move to Square 19
Up the ladder to Squre 44 (2008)

This thread will be closed off at approximately 100 posts. If the thread is still open (even at 100 posts), just continue to post there until it is closed. Do NOT re-post in the new thread as I will take into account whatever is posted in an open thread until it’s closed.

AND by the way, the Challenge Feature on the group home page is now available for you to use to keep track on the number of books you've read for this challenge ;)

Serenity, sorry I missed your comment in Thread 1...

I'm reading the Omnibus edition, Young Miles, which contains both these books. They were originally published separately, though, and about 400 pages each. Can I tag the omnibus edition but still count them as two separate books?

Not good news, however, I would have to say no, Serenity, sorry! I've seen this question popped up in other challenges and I think I'd keep this uniform :)

I ask because then, there's no way we can roll an 8 like the example in the fist post. :)

Or...bet this is it...I joined at post #23. Maybe that explains it.

I think I mentioned somewhere in the Official Rules that I will note your latest post to be your current position on the ladder to save later confusion. Just post your review and I will know that you've finished the book. In any case, we're on an honesty system that I'd believe you'd follow the rules regardless ;) So I'd assume that if you'd started reading the second book, you'd have finished the first :)

I wasn't happy to roll a 1, but it did give me a perfect excuse to get to that Alexander McCall Smith short story book I wanted to read but probably never would have gotten around to otherwise. I've never read any of his books for children, so I'm interested to see how it is.

Those of you on (or afraid of) the poetry shelf might want to consider Neil Gaiman's Fragile Things if you like his other work. It has some poems, but mostly short stories. And 49 people besides me have it shelved as poetry.
