I'm currently reading 2 books that count for this challenge: The Preacher by Camilla Lackberg and the Dutch version of Out by Natsuo Kirino :-)

I really want to read Autobiography of a Geisha. How did you like it? (Will go look for your review now.) I read Memoirs of a Geisha last year and found it unsatisfactory in the end, so am very curious about the Masuda book.

I am curious about your opinion of Out. I received it as a gift last year, but didn't choose it for my challenge list.

I've just reviewed Out. It is a book that was hard to review, because I almost feel guilty having enjoyed reading it so much. After all it is horrible, what is happening.
On the other hand: it is fiction, after all.
My review is partly what I think, what I read in the book and partly a description in short of what happened, without too many spoiler details (I hope).

I'll check it out. The central plot action certainly doesn't appeal to me, so I'm hesitant to read the book.

Not thinking of doing away with your husband then?

Not today, at least. He's doing the yard work.

I think you might! Is Norwegian Wood up next? I tried Sputnik Sweetheart and never finished. If you enjoy Norwegian Wood it might convince me to rent the film of it.

It is not exactly next. It's just 'to be read this year', because there are other books (to be released / promised to through BookCrossing) that I'm reading first. My current read for this list is "The White Tiger". If nothing of urgence comes next, I just might start Norwegian Wood.

I'll watch for your review. Haruki Murakami can be challenging to read.

Yes indeed. I read Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World in Dutch and found that a difficult book. Can't exactly say why, but for me it was more challenging than Kafka on the Shore, to name one.

I want to watch the movie, but will wait untill I've read the book. (That's what I usually do when there's book made into movie, or book based on movie.)

I have to admit that I am interested in the movie only because I like the actor, Ken'ichi Matsuyama. Sometimes I read the book first, and sometimes not. If I like a movie, I look for the book, and vice versa.

Currently reading another one off my MTBR. Have no idea what the English title is, in Dutch is is "De vrouw van de dokter". Can't add a link now, since I'm using the Iphone app. Grrrr! Will get back here later and will add yet another book to the list in my first post :-)

Isn't it funny how we pay more attention now to what works for this challenge and what doesn't. At least they all count towards total read for the year!

I've 'secretly' started another book for this challenge. Meaning, that it isn't a ring book / book that I've put in a book box for other people to choose from. No, this is a book that has been sitting on my shelf for a while, that I was interested in and that I want to release again soon on a BookCrossing meeting (July 1st).

I've added a few Dutch books to the list: they are MTBR 2012 and I wanted to take them with me to Castricum, where the annual big Dutch BC-meeting will take place. (July 1st).
Now I'll get on with the books that are partly MTBR, partly not (rings / rays). Will get back here (soon I hope!)
