I'm with you on that. There have been just too many interruptions with the rest of life this week!

i'm starting a 22 hour audiobook for the 2010 shelf, so that will hold me up a bit

I've been trying to complete challenges for another group, so my reading for S&L has been on hold. But, as of today, I am back. One book in the works and one to start.

Now question...as we're getting close to the end, what happens if either Vi or Susan win? Is the idea that the rest of us will continue?

i'm all for just continuing and they can re-start if they want ;)

DG - its good so far - Susinok from the audiobook group gave it good reviews - but its the first true fantasy that i've listened to, so i'm having to pay more attention because of the world building

I'd be happy to start over and have everyone continue. (Though, since she's landed on the last square already, it's likely to be Vi rather than me.)

But I know the moderators have something else cooked up for us ... Could we hear from the moderators how soon you'd like to introduce to the new game? How does continuing until everyone who wants to has finished once fit into that schedule?

And, after all, there's nothing to say we couldn't run this and the new one simultaneously.

I seem to remember that earlier it was said that this game would last all year with a new one starting next year. I would like to play this one a bit longer as I am enjoying it. Besides, I am just now getting to the snake and ladder portion!

I'm planning to continue to the top however long it takes me. I like the variety this is making me read and it's fun to see where I land. And I am hoping one day to actually land on a ladder -- what a goal!!

The plan is to continue on playing S&L as long as there are people who'd like to continue and by the looks of it, many of you would like to 'finish' whether or not you place 1, 2, or 3. This is, of course, something that I love to see because that means you like this game :)

S&L is the Game of 2012 and our next big game will be for 2013 (we don't have enough resources to run 2 big games at the same time). There will be a Mini Game in October to celebrate our birthday and that's that for this year.

If you finish the board, you are welcome to restart wherever you like although I would suggest retarting from parts of the board you missed. So...
For Susan, if you finish, you can restart from the beginning since you had the advantage to start from elsewhere at the beginning and missed this part of the board.
For Vi, I'd suggest starting from Square 17 as your 'imaginary square' - being bottom of the ladder you'd climbed before and so you missed squares 18-40.
Etc...
I'll note your position on the ladder in italics to show that you're playing 'un-officially'

If you place 1, 2, or 3, you will have your 'reward' in the 2013 game :)

There's stuff on that shelf like Life of Pi and Eat, Pray, Love and so forth. It's really not that painful of a shelf. Hope you find something good!

I already Life of Pi and EPL doesn't interest me but I'm looking around and there's definitely some stuff I can read on that shelf.
