For the second option, I read Bring up the Bodies Bring Up the Bodies (Wolf Hall, #2) by Hilary Mantel by Hilary Mantel.

I have a couple of friends that call me Dee. :) *waves* The only person who ever got away with calling me Deedee was one uncle, everyone else called me Dee or Dede. Or Deann, Diane, Diana, Donna, etc. I bet you had that too when you were growing up.
