Daniel Williams (Daniel_Williams) | 39 comments I'm not sure what happened. I started off selling about 25 books in the first three weeks of publishing. That number has dropped to 2 sales in close to 2 weeks. I've been swapping tags and "likes" with other authors and it hasn't done much. I tried some online advertising and it's proven to be a waste of money.

Any good suggestions??

I'd already tagged your book.

I think it's all about being patient - hard I know. I sold 85 books in 1 day in early Feb, but things have slowed to a halt since them.

Daniel Williams (Daniel_Williams) | 39 comments I've thought about doing that, but don't you have to be enrolled in kdp select to do that?

Robert Zwilling | 4 comments Does anyone know how to put a book on Amazon with $0 price? I see books with 0$, are all of these promos and KDP Select?
I asked Amazon, they sent this back:

Please know, due to operational costs, it isn't possible to select a $0 price
for your book at this time.

When authors and publishers use Kindle Direct Publishing to publish their book,
the minimum list prices allowed are $0.99 for the 35% royalty option and $2.99
for the 70% royalty option. We may, however, match free promotions with other
sales channels from time to time.

However, I see that you've opted for KDP select program for this Kindle title.
Thus, you'll now have access to a new set of promotional tools, starting with
the option to offer enrolled books free to readers for up to 5 days every 90
days. You can enroll a single title, your whole catalog, or anything in between.

I missed the fine print where it said you could not post books for 0$. Using the KDP select, you get 5 days of 0$, when done like this, you apparently get a lot of downloads from people with the idea of reading the book later because it is for free now. Eventually they will see it.

Is it possible to put links to your other books in each book?

Lawrence Gold (sailchap01) | 13 comments Who’d have thunk that writing the novel would be the easiest part of a career.
I have three novels in print and Kindle with excellent reviews:

Like all, I’d like to improve sales, but that’s especially true for my latest novel, For the Love of God, the dramatization of an important social issue.
Help and suggestions appreciated.

I get to answer my own question, put the book on BN first and make it $0 and check the box in Amazon that says available for a lower price. This sets in motion the ability to make the price 0$. You can try it on Smashwords but some one said Amazon does not pay attention to Smashwords. The book can't be in the KDP Select Lending program as one of the rules is that only Amazon can be distributing the book.

mj Hangge (mjhangge) | 27 comments I am currently offering my book free through Amazon, so I am curious to see if it has any increase in sales too. I guess I will start to see when the promotion ends tonight. Fingers crossed! mj Hangge

Russell Chartier | 64 comments Someone is slandering my wife and her book on Amazon in reviews and various discussion boards. We believe that we know who the culprit is. Any positive feedback or just weighing in in the discussion boards to help stop this psychopath would be greatly appreciated. We'd be happy to trade reviews, likes or tags as well.
