I thought it was time to start cleaning up the threads a bit, and I created this folder to hold all the super old topics.

Feel free to breathe new life into them if you like.
I will relocate them to an active folder if they become active again!

:)

Thanks!
I took everything from May'08 and before, and threw it in here.

Laura (apenandzen) Lori you do give OCD a better name.

Awwwww. thanks :)

message 5: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) You are so welcome. It's nice to see the OCD'ers getting the credit they deserve!

April (escapegal) | 130 comments Lori, does it bother you that the term "OCD" isn't in alphabetical order? I think they called it that on purpose just to tick off all you "overly organized" people...

message 7: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) obsessive-compulsive disorder?

ha... April, never even thought of that!

message 9: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (cosytomelibrary) April I haven't noticed that before but now that's probably always going to annoy me whenever I see 'OCD'! Never mind it's always nice to have something annoying about everything, ha.

Scot Fin | 14 comments Old but always relevant, could be me. I'm a bit older. And relevant? Always, at least in my mind. But a couple other posts elsewhere has me thinking this is a good discussion to keep alive. E.G talked about old classics in 'books that are worth owning' and Komal brings up the current relevance to an older classic, 'A Clockwork Orange,' in the 'what are you reading - part deux' ( I can't resist the French links). Fairly recently I reread 'The American' by Henry James' (French link again). Truly a well written classic always worth reading. Any other classics being reread, or for the first time, out there?

VickiLee I was 13 when I first read it, and even today it is still relevant in my life - Jane Eyre

Scot Fin | 14 comments I just thought I would add a non-book but quote related 'old but always relevant' note. On the anniversary of D Day:
“If you are going through hell, keep going.
 Winston Churchill.

Clayton Stephens (claytonlstephens) | 5 comments A couple all time favorites. The Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison and Hidden Faces by Salvador Dali. You may have to be a Dali lover to like it, not sure...

Ayushi Yakshi | 4 comments I believe in Marc-Andre all the way. I'm sick of people criticizing him. He's always in the shadow of other goal tenders.
