Kb | 8 comments What kind of dog is Manchee? Either I missed it in the reading or it didn't say and it's driving me crazy, but I don't feel like going back and skimming the text.. Lol

forestsprite | 10 comments Loyal, stupid. Like all dogs, really. :p

I don't think the author ever gave away the species, but I think it's fair to say that Manchee isn't, say, a toy poodle or a chihuahua. Probably a mutt of some kind, knee high at least. I imagined something like this:

Kb | 8 comments Awww. I keep imagining a pug for some reason, like this one:

But I wasn't sure if they mentioned it and I missed it.

Kb | 8 comments Seriously, did they have to kill the dog? F this book I hate it now.

And every time Aaron shows up again I roll my eyes. Really book? Really?

Z (ladybellatrix) I knew people would be upset at the dog killing. Aaron constantly showing up was annoying though. I didn't even really know if I was 'enjoying' the book, and then of course it ends the way it does so I want to read on.

Taylor (quietcoastline) | 106 comments I finally finished! As soon as Manchee was mentioned in the very beginning, I knew he'd die somewhere along the line. I was still angry, though. I felt like that was a pathetic attempt at evoking some emotion from the reader since the other characters were so unlikable and I really didn't care whether they lived or died. Aaron was ridiculous, Todd was annoying, and Viola really added nothing other than her existence as a female.

For some strange, strange reason... I kept imagining Manchee as a (medium, yellow, mutt) cartoon dog. What?

Overall, I thought the book was boring and wayyy too long, but the last 50 or so pages were okay. I'm not interested in finishing the series, though.
