Just to help you out maybe...there is only one 'L' in Lily of the Valley so you could switch The Leopard Prince to one of your 'E's by using the author's first name. That would be one less book to fit in.

Trish, what is with this series? It's everywhere! Is it really that good? (the hunger games) What is it about? I've been trying to hold out and watch the movie first but this series is all anyone can talk about and I feel left out :(

I remember hearing about The Hunger Games when they first started teasing the movie, and thinking, "Seriously?! Who would want to read about hunger?! I don't get it..." I'm not big into blood and gore, and thought it was going to be something I wouldn't much enjoy. So I did exactly as you did, and ignored it until I had to find out what the hype was. When I learned it was a YA series, I thought, well, maybe it won't be too bad...After all, Eclipse series is YA...And I prefer to read the books and THEN see the movie. (BTW, my husband is on Catching Fire, right now - - finally finished it, so we can go see the movie sometime soon, LOL!)
I don't want to give away too many spoilers, but basically, it revolves around a post-apocalyptic USA called Panem, that's divided into 13 districts (but 13 was destroyed many yrs ago, so there are 12). To "celebrate" the country every year, a boy and girl are chosen as "tributes" from each of the 12 districts to participate in The Hunger Games, which essentially is like Survivor (outwit, outplay, outlast), but tributes are not voted off, they're killed off by other tributes.
The story revolves around Katniss and Peeta, the two "tributes" from District 12, as they navigate their way through the games and become symbols of a larger theme of political unrest (because, really, The Hunger Games is SO blatantly inhumane) outside of the Games.
Suzanne Collins is masterful in the way she weaves the story, the people, their world, political unrest, and symbols which take on greater meaning throughout the series, using emotional and vibrant word pictures. The story is told in the first person, similar to the Twilight series, but IMHO, Suzanne Collins has written a much more compelling, less self-absorbed series.
I think this is the first ever significant "book review" I've ever done. I hope it helps (critiques from everyone are welcome!)!
I say, "break down and start reading the series as soon as you can." And keep me posted. I hope you have as much fun reading it as I am!
Oh, BTW - there's only one other series which I would promote as emphatically as this one, and it's the FEVER series by Karen Marie Moning. Again, it's out of my standard genre (romance, historical romances, especially), but her 5-book urban fantasy series is amazing. I rarely read books twice, but I've read this series at least twice, and have all the books in every format possible - hardcover, paperback, kindle...and she's writing a spinoff series right now, so yay!!
Okay - again, I hope this helps!

As for the fever series I LOVE THEM!!! Did u know after Dani's 3 books there's going to be another 3 fever books after that!!

REALLY wish I could see what ALL of the tarot cards look like that KMM had designed. I bet they'd be amazing! Is it August yet?! LOL!
I'm pretty excited to see the THG movie, now, too. And if ever I was asked Bella vs Katniss, I'd be all about Katniss. She doesn't have time to feel sorry for herself, and is always thinking of others. Waaay less self-absorbed.

OMG - I don't know what to say - I'm so conflicted. I wish it had taken a less violent turn (I hate violence) and/or ended differently. Her word pictures were gorgeous as always, but the content...I don't know. Still digesting it. First two books were brilliant. This one -- meh. Anyone else who's read the trilogy feel the same way? Am I missing something?
