This is THE thread for posting links to your books, giveaways, launches, events, sales and other promotions.
Some guidelines for posting in this thread:
- Be sure to include the GR book title link in your post. You can add links to Amazon etc etc if you like, but these are optional. As always, don't post links to country specific sites, like Amazon (US) unless you tell people they're country-specific links.
- Don't hijack someone else's thread. Start a new topic for your promotion.
- Remember that this is an international forum. If your promo or giveaway only applies to certain countries, make sure you are clear and up-front about that in your post.
- Readers don't like great big swathes of text, and probably will skim through it. If they're like me, they'll skip it entirely. Show us your writing/editing skills and make sure your post is on point.
- Hyperbolic quotes from reviewers are less effective than you think. We'd rather hear what your book is about than read quotes about it. We can read reviews if we want to know what people thought about it.
- Don't spam group members with direct messages.
Most importantly of all though - Please confine your promotional posts to this folder only.
As time goes on, there may be a possibility of doing some more interactive group activities to link writers with readers: group reads, competitions, Q&As etc. If you've got ideas about what you'd like to see happen, feel free to post something in this folder, and we can see what people think.
