This is unrelated randomness for sure, so feel free to delete! I'm a librarian at UCLA and I'm also a first time novelist with Simon & Schuster. I'm not going to promote my own dystopian novel here, you can just click on my profile if you want to see that. But I am going to say that I always steer library patrons towards dystopian books like The Hunger Games. People often ask me what other books they should read that are kind of similar, and here is what I say: The Maze Runner, Divergent, Matched, Under the Never Sky, Lord of the Flies, Shatter Me, Ready Player One, Feed, The Forest of Hands and Teeth, The Knife of Never Letting Go, Gone, Girl in the Arena, How I Live Now, The Other Side of the Island, Level 2. So hopefully that will help any of you who are looking for cool dystopian books! I am personally always looking for more too--so I'm definitely taking any suggestions. I am pretty much a YA dystopian junkie at this point in time!
