Hell yes
Stephen King is a gateway drug into a horror addiction for many people, myself included. The people here in the group will feed your addiction with a plethora of new authors to tingle your spine.

I have a problem with JK Rowling. I hate on how shes spits on Trump Spoorters like myself. I stopwatching the news with her. It would just get me upset. I like all the older books still.
Welcome to our little house of horrors, Jessica. The calendar just turned over into autumn and autumn is one fine time to be a part of Gore and More. We'll be having a special guest author in October. Stay tuned.

We strive to keep politics and religion out of the conversations here for the simple reason you mentioned - people are very passionate about both. We're all entitled to have our own views without having to deal with someone that has the opposite view spewing venom. We're here for one reason - to support/learn/share/and enjoy all things horror. Let's be honest. We're already seen as outcasts because we love horror. When non-horror readers discover that you like the genre, they look at you like you have a communicable disease and they don't want to catch it from you. Horror is seen by many to have no value and has never received the respect it deserves. All of us here DO understand that. This is our safe haven away from the intolerant. Let's not be just as bad as the people we came in here to get away from.

well said!

Welcome Jessica, glad to have you back!

One day I learn to read. Sorry to hear that. Glad it work out for you! Cybersecurity is one thing I am intrigued about. Happy Reading.

My name is Norma Padro. I'm a writer. I do other things as well, but what I'm here for is to read things. I'm glad to be here among everyone."
Aloha and Welcome Norma! Kudos on being a writer!

I must admit... I wasn't much of a reader when I was younger - more-so scarred by kids making fun of a speech problem I had.
Fast forward to me finding a lonely copy of Richard Laymon's The Traveling Vampire Show on a stand in a PX and I was hooked into horror & reading.
I'm interested in all things gore and more!

Richard Laymon, Stephen King, Joe Hill, and Gillian Flynn are definitely my go-to authors. I'm currently reading This Book is Full of Spiders by David Wong... also ordered Through the Woods by Emily Carroll. So many books/GN out there that I haven't read yet...
Oh, any suggestions on books to read?

Mahalo for responding! Your probably alreadly familiar with this:

I have not the read the author you are reading nor ordering the book. I cannot think of any right now. Like most booklovers, I love learning new authors! Mahalo!
P. S I truly get overjoyed with books.
Be well

It's good to see some familiar names here.
I'm Stuart Keane, a writer of horror and suspense. I was invited to join the group (not sure when, to be honest, I haven't been on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ much recently) so I thought I should pop my head in.
Thanks for inviting me, Lisa. It's been too long. I look forward to chatting to you all.

Welcome Stuart. We're glad that you're here!

My favorite author is Stephen King. I love Edgar Allan Poe. My favorite book is Dracula. My current favorite TV show is The Walking Dead. I don't really care for Rob Zombie's films much, but we all have our likes and dislikes.
Anyway, great to meet you guys. Hope to get to know you and maybe get some book suggestions.
Hi Dan My name is Josh I would love to be friends and read books with you

That's great Josh. I just approved your friend request and sent you a message.

Aloha and Welcome!

Glad to have you aboard, Dan! We're all a bunch of horror nuts here, so you're in good company. Many of us here cut our teeth on horror with Stephen King. For myself, I felt a desire to branch out and seek other horror writers. Groups like Gore and More have really expanded my horizons and my kindle and bookshelves are now overflowing!

I'm from the north of England, and I've always had a love of horror, the weird and the bizarre. I'm a student in my third year of my Illustration degree, and I'd say that horror/Sci-fi (especially H. P. Lovecraft) inspires my work.
I also love to read (obviously) and write.
I'm fascinated by anything obscure. Medieval bestiaries, curiosities, obscure photography (including Victorian Postmortem photography), myths and legends, the paranormal, psychology, hypnotism and mesmerism. Basically anything weird, you can guarantee I have a book on it haha!
So yeah! Hi guys! :)

/topic/show/...
happy Christmas!

Thanks Latasha! And I'll check it out now!
And Dan, I agree with Poe! He's fantastic!
