I totally failed at starting yesterday lol
So today? The first 3 chapters.
What we can do as well is when you post and talk about a chapter just state clearly which one :)
So today? The first 3 chapters.

Chapter 1: I like the re-introduction to the characters and the story line. I didn't feel like skipping over the first three chapters to get into the story.
Chapter 2: I enjoy reading the two voices of the main characters (Lucas and Helen). Josephine does it so seamlessly. I don't feel the need to go back and forth to decipher what is happening in the story. Chapter 1 bridges the gap between book 1, Chapter 2 helps us understand the emotional toll Helen and Lucas are taking.
Honestly a little irked by the whole love triangle intro... not saying I don't like the new character 'Haircut' just a little sad that in order for a series to continue there has to be some obstacle. The fact that they believe their related should be enough but anyhoo...
Lucas took the 'hate' advice from Castor to a whole different level. I felt really sorry for Helen after that scene. It is a little refreshing to see a 'golden boy' character get a darkside.
Chapter 3: I enjoyed having Hector back. I was worried that he would be set aside after the end of Starcrossed. I loved his character and the fact that he pushed Helen.
What's with Jason?? I never thought he had such animosity towards Helen.
Automedon?? What do you think??
Ok, that's the first 3 chapters. Will get on the next three tonight... Have a good evening.

I like the way she handled the re-intoductions as you mentioned, some authors tend to make a entire recap and it feels kind of bullet point, but this just flowed with the story.
I am still upset about the cousin twist, still cant get past that! I am still hoping that it will turn out as a missunderstanding or something! I feel so sorry for them that I will even agree with Lucas that they should be together and just not have children. Either that or Haircut better be one hell of a character to win me over and get my vote!
Jason is being so mean that I kind of wish that he will go on some kind of extended holiday and then we can get more of Hector! Seems like he is the only person that will be there for Helen!
Automedon confuses me a bit, was that mentioned in the previous book as well? I think I am crossing my wires between books from a different series!
I'm a little behind, but I'll comment on the chapters I have read as we go along. Will try and catch up :)
Chapter 1:
Agree I also liked the re-introduction to the characters and the story line.
Chapter 2:
I wonder if they will stay cousin's the whole way through this series, or if there will be a loophole? Like surprise your father was actually someone else...
Haircut - I wonder where this will go...
Hate advice - Sjoe yea he went a bit mad!
Chapter 3:
I want more Hector!
Yea Jason is a bit weird with Helen...
"Automedon confuses me a bit, was that mentioned in the previous book as well? I think I am crossing my wires between books from a different series! "
I can't remember him being mentioned?
Chapter 4:
Poor Zach :(
PS: I cringe when Helen has a dream sequence. I just want the poor girl to have a good nights sleep!

Alright so I really like the banter between Orion and Helen. It really has lightened up the hellish experiences. (I agree with you Lu this girl needs to catch some serious ZZZZ's!)
Though I must say that Helen has THE most unfortunate luck with men. Even if she does end up falling for Orion they can never be together thanks to the fact that it would unite the houses.
Poor Zach. I feel for him and his situation. Seems like he was always in the wrong place at the wrong time. The blood oath does not bode well for his survival.
I like the new villain in Automedon. He wasn't mentioned in the previous book. I went a little overboard and wikipediaed the name. In the Greek mythology he is Achilles' chariot driver and was created when Zeus, who was in the form of an ant, slept with a princess.
Chapter 5:
I'm just a little frustrated with the supporting characters in Helen's life. Claire seems like a bit of a flake. One moment she's determined to find a way to help Helen the next she's dumping her for Jason because he's having a rough time. Not sure what to think or am I being to harsh?? Not only that but Jason is argumentative and abrupt with Helen; Daphne is AWOL and her father (who seemed like such a supportive uber dad in the previous book) is fixated on his girlfriend.
Chapter 6:
Ah, jealousy!! Nothing like another guy to get your ex to notice you. Helen and Lucas' fight on page 140. I'm glad she stood up for herself!! Finally a heroine who doesn't just bend over backwards to protect the guys feelings.
Yes!! They aren't cousins. Page 145, "She thought of the terrible lie she had told her daughter and for a moment she regretted leaving Helen to believe she was Lucas's cousin,"
Happy dance!

But now I actually like Orion :-( Plus he is the only person that is there for Helen, like Claudi mentioned, everybody is reaaly unsupportive of this poor girl! They are so involved in their own lives.
Okay I am going to jump a bit ahead now, in CHAPTER 7 Lucas steels the gold coins, then in CHAPTER 8 Orion and Helen gets saved in the underworld by some unknown presence and that after Orion got all weird about seeing something... Do you think these two events have anything in commen? Like maybe the gold coins gave Lucas the power to also go down to the underworld?
And then a other jump, CHAPTER 10... Omw what is up with the conversation between Matt and Zach, is he a traitor somehow? I really did not pick up on that at all!!
Chapter 4:
I agree I also like the banter between Orion and Helen!
Orion is probably gonna end up being her brother...
"In the Greek mythology he is Achilles' chariot driver and was created when Zeus, who was in the form of an ant, slept with a princess." - Try and picture that 0_o
Chapter 5:
Daphne irritates me, and Helen's dad is so worried about her, but yea he is never there... poor Helen.
Chapter 6:
Whoohooo so glad they aren't cousin's!
What is wrong with Daphne...
Now we play the who is your dadddy game!
Chapter 7:
It is Persephone time!
Not much to say in the chapter.

So if she chooses Orion then it will actually be quite interesting, since the two of them will be from all four houses together!

Anyone else picking up on the amount of blood bonds they're talking about?
Daphne's blood oath; Automedon's blood brother, Ares talking about bloodbloodblood.
I also think it was Lucas in the Underworld.

I actually didnt think about the blood thing until you mentioned it! It is quite true!

Chapter 7 to 12
Was quite scary reading how Helen was slowly deteriorating. I'm glad Lucas finally woke up to the fact that his ridiculous idea wasn't helping her.
Ares isn't what I pictured a god would be like. All other stories make the gods beautiful and enchanting etc. I kinda like the Ares in the book. Makes it that much easier to dislike him. What plans does he have for the three 'little godlings'?? Does anyone else think that it isn't a coincidence that he showed himself to Helen and Orion while Lucas was in the Underworld. Eris also seems to be a nasty piece of work!!
Lucas and Helen: I think that I'm losing it. Every time they come close to any kind of intimacy and then break it off due to their 'guilt'. I just want to jump into the pages and throttle Daphne then yell at Lucas and Helen to do the math and see they aren't related.
I'm feeling a little bad for Zach. He seems to be trying to make things right but he's burnt too many bridges. Things seem to be getting more difficult.

Who else thinks that Lucas asked Orion to turn Helen's heart from him?
Orion seems mighty touchy about Helen's attachment to him. And Lucas said that Orion is a solid guy even though he wouldn't do what he asked...
Not another hurdle they have to overcome.

Chapter 13 to 16
Lucas has a lot of secrets. This book has shown a lot of changes in him. Not sure if they are all for the best.
Don't you love how close Helen and Lucas get when in her room discussing the river lethe. It's a quirky section of the book. Really funny while she's kissing Orion and trying to figure out if their dating on page 432....
Chapter 15: Automedon refers to this generation being strong and that Orion is the Prince while Lucas is the Lover. I got the feeling that there was a prophecy about this generation.
Helen kept having visions about all the scion's in armour. Page 435 and 451.
The gods keep refering to Helen, Orion and Lucas as the heirs. If they keep being reborn why is this group of scion's the heirs.
Matt is a true hero. He might not have powers but he does what he can.
Helen must be the strongest scion of her age. Both Automedon and Lucas referred to the fact that she is extremely powerful and she hasn't even reached her full potential.
Riana- what do you want to chat about in Chapter 17 and 18??
I love the way the last two chapters were written. They are very discriptive and powerful. From Ares violence towards Helen and the blood bond between the heirs.
I'm glad that Zach redeemed himself in the final pages.
Still dislike Daphne!!
Interested in seeing what happens with the relationship between Orion, Lucas and Helen.
GRRRR!! One year to go...
I'm at Chapter 10 :( Some serious catching up to do!
Will see how far I get tonight and come and comment here :)

(view spoiler)

Lucas as a shadow master is a scary concept but it all seems to be connected to his emotions. If he's with Helen he seems to radiate light but when told to leave her or being forced apart his anger triggers the shadow's. He even hinted at having another development in his power in the form of heat when he said that he was sure he could control it. He is a son of the sun!!
I think it's very possible that they could be the generation to rule Atlantis. Especially when the next books title hints at it going in that direction. Angelini called the book Goddess and even explains that Helen's development from book one as a shy 17 year old teen into book three as a strong goddess.
Also agree with your feelings about the supporting characters. I wish Jason would remove whatever crawled up his a$$. I get it, he's scared of losing Claire but Helen has been there her whole life and wouldn't let anything happen to her. I didn't feel like Matt was as big a problem as the rest and I'm enjoying his development throughout the series. Will be interesting to see what happens to him in book 3.
Venting... I am so annoyed that they don't know that they aren't related. I agree with all your points. I think the worst thing that could happen is that we never get to see them as a couple properly. I'd hate it to go, they get together, enemy killed... The end.
I don't get that Edward and Jacob vibe from Orion and Lucas. Remove the cousins thing and Helen would choose Lucas hands down. And I really feel like her relationshop with Orion developed out of necessity and that a lot of outside influences are pushing her towards him.

Well I foresee the author to play with Helen's feelings for Lucas and her new found attraction to Orion. Otherwise it will kind of turn out like they get together, enemy killed, the end. Or maybe not, so far the author has been surprisingly unpredictable, guess we will have to wait and see *impatient sigh*
I have about 150 pages left :(
I'll take it on excavation with me and come and chat to you guys when I get back :)
