the more people the better! there is a buddy read folder where you can post what you are about to read and see if anyone wants to join. we do them the same as the group reads where everyone reads to a certain point and we discuss it and then read on and discuss again. usually with buddy reads we either do 25% at a time with 4 discussions or 33% with 3 discussions and we try to do every 2-3 days per section but with less people it is not really a big deal to just move on when everyone gets there. since this is a novella we will probably stop and discuss at 50% and then again at the end but that will be discussed in the folder along with when everyone wants to start. i am going to make the thread in a few minutes here.

That one is on my list as well (Daemon of dark woods). I was planning on finishing andrew mayhem tonight but ended up reading let it snow all night instead. I said I was going to put it down after the first novela but it is just so good I cant leave it alone.
Let it Snow is by John Green, Lauren Myracle, and Maureen Johnson. It is 3 seperate novellas in one book, each is its own story but takes place in the same town on christmas eve and all 3 stories intertwine with each other.

I hope you like this one, it was my first laymon as well and none of his others have been able to stand up to it since although the stake came close. I look forward to your final review.

I just started Dog Bloodso far so good.
I finaly finished the fourth andrew mayhem book and it was the best of the four. I see you can buy all four books in one volume now for $7.00 I started Thirteen Reasons Why but I dont like how it is written. I may read another john green book before moving on to the dexter morgan series by jeff lindsay. I will probably try to squeeze a novella or two in there somewhere as well.

It kicked ass.
I started Dastardly Bastardwith my horror group.
I loved fear me, it was my first tim curran. I bought it for that awsome cover, not knowing anything about the book or author.

Yea that was a huge disapointment when I found out there would be no more of those covers. The new ones are nice but the painting really made them stand out.
I started Brides of the Impaler tonight. I had to take a break from Blood, Smoke and Ashes, im not sure if I even want to finish it but I am at 80 some percent so I probably will.
It started out all right but im no longer enjoying it. It has gotten to the point that I feel like I am doing homework or something and I just want to read something else. (Which I am)

I read Among Prey. I thought it was excellent.
I am now reading Ivy which is by an indie author. I'm enjoying it so far.
Then I'm on to what some call a horror classic-All Heads Turn When the Hunt Goes By. We shall see.

I'm reading In Cold Blood for an assignment in my History of American Crime class, and I'm really enjoying it. I think I'm enjoying it so much because I watched the movie Capote before I started reading it. The movie is about how Capote wrote the book and the relationships he formed while writing it. I don't think I would like this book nearly as much if I hadn't watched that movie. It's got Phillip Seymour Hoffman in it, and he won best actor in 2005 for this role, so check it out if you're into that kind of stuff ;).
I'm also really enjoying The Stand, and I am excited to watch the miniseries after I finish reading it. The reason it's taking me so freaking long to read The Stand is because: 1)it's a pretty long book 2)I have about a zillion other things to do for my sorority and for school now that school is back in session, so I don't have time for reading anymore. Why, I'm actually procrastinating writing my Advanced Grammar paper by writing this comment! Yay!
Side note: I started reading The Stand during flu season, and that's not a good idea at all.

Captain Trips!
I loved both of those books, Cate. I haven't seen the movie Capote though. I do love Phillip Seymour Hoffman, so I guess I should check it out. Thanks for the rec.!

I read a little over 40% into Before Leonora Wakes last night and then gave it up, it was way to wierd for me. I am currently reading the dexter series but just a few chapters here and there which is how I plan on reading the entire series. I am also reading Goon

I'm reading The Pilo Family Circus. It's weird but I'm liking it!
I was going to start that but I am waiting to see if it wins the group read, if it gets close I may change my vote but I dont really think it will win because of the price tag on it. I loved when we join jesus in hell and I think before leonora wakes was well written and had good characters it was just to wierd for my taste. I look forward to his stand alone novels that I heard would be coming out through darkfuse.

I've read 2 or 3 others that he is planning to put out under pen names because they are not dark fiction. Those were both good too. :)
Malcontents I am only a few pages into the first novella which is by randy Chandler and hooked me on the first page. I really need to read one of his full novel's.

IT has a Ryan Thomas story too.
